Significance / Signal of Ankle Bracelet

Help! We have heard that an ankle bracelet worn on a women’s right ankle has some significance or is intended to send a sexual signal to men? Is anyone aware of the significance or signal that a woman wearing an ankle on her right leg is intending to convey to others?

We have seen this discussed on numerous different sites and the overall conclusion on every site we have seen it is that there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING significant about ankle bracelets at all.

So, since I have one that is tattooed on my right ankle and if I was to want to show it to you by placing it on your shoulder would that mean that we are on the way to having wild monkey sex?

I wear an ankle bracelet. My mother always said it was a sign of prostitution (maybe she just meant loose morals, who knows). Hubby thinks its a sign of possession

But I just think it makes my legs look nice .... and I agree - its great over someones shoulder!

Earlier this year, Mrs. Alura discovered a shop where she can buy pants long enough for her legs. Unfortunately, her ankle bracelets can't be seen so she has fallen out of the habit of wearing one.

When she does wear one, it's on her right ankle.

When I opened this thread I assumed the ankle bracelet in question was the kind that tells the police where a person is at all times... and yes that should tell you a little something about them I would think.

On a whim, I bought an ankle bracelet while I was on a cruise last month. (This is Michael speaking.) I have never seen a man wearing one, so I feel like a real ground breaker. I wear it on my left ankle, and I have has no comments about it. I like the way it looks, but I don't know if anyone else likes it. Maybe man wearing a bracelet on his left ankle will catch on, and it will become a "swinging" symbol. If it doesn't I still like the one I have and will keep wearing it!
