I was a little nervous the days leading up to my surgery too. I was keeping it under control and it wasnt til I got into the pre-op room that it really hit. I was told by many people that it is better if you go in with a positive attitude and not a lot of anxiety. A little injection into my IV and like a light switch I was as happy as could be. I didnt care what happend! I was giggling all the way to the operating room! The next thing I knew it was over. I opened my eyes and 90 minutes had passed. I felt warm and comfortable, no pain. I looked over to see a nurse sitting beside my bed waiting for me to wake up.
While no one ever is eager to have surgery, I would be more at ease if I ever had to do it again.

When its all over you will look back and say "wow that was easy!".

Thanks Michelle!! I think the part that is making me more worried is the tubal just because they actually have to do an incision and also because I have never had surgery or had to be put under for anything so I am starting to freak out...I am sure it will hit me big time the morning of the surgery...

Thanks for the tips about trying to stay calm and relaxed! I just hope I can stay that way the day of =-]

Hey there everyone!!! I thought since I am sitting her on the couch recovering from my surgery this morning that I would give you all an update! I first want to send out a HUGE thanks to all of you who have given me the support during this time as it was much appreciated!!

As for my surgery today, it went really well..Better than I thought actually..With this being my first ever surgery there were so many fears going into today but it was a breeze so to speak lol..I remember heading to the operation room and when they started to tie my arms down to the bed and then put the oxygen mask on me I started to panic and was crying and that is all I remember..I woke up in the recovery room and was in some major pain but with some pain meds I was doing good..I am sitting here tonight and still in some pain and mostly in the stomach area due to the tubal. I have very light spotting so far and am hoping that in the long run it does what I am hoping for

So if you all could continue to think of me during the recovery I would appreciate and I will keep you posted on my hopeful success with the procedure..Again, thank you to all that gave me support during this time of decision making and in sharing your stories with me of you experience with this procedure.

Mrs. Van, I'm glad that your surgery went well. I'm grateful you're home but sorry for the discomfort.

I'll be sending good vibes your way for a speedy recovery. I really hope this surgery does what it was supposed to do.

Best wishes for a smooth recovery. Please don't ask anything of yourself except to rest and heal. I hope your discomfort is kept to a minimum and that Mr. Van and others will wait on you hand and foot, with a smile.
