Swingtown Episode 13: "Take it to the Limit" discussion

I only watched one episode, but my wife watched a few.

Her comment was 'Its not bad but its just a soap opera' and it didn't draw her in.

Perhaps daytime TV is where this would find a better home

We didn't pick up the show until late in the season... we found it rather entertaining and similar to life. Yes there's drama however don't we all just try to minimize it? At time we related with various characters... we were newbies once. It's going to be interesting to see if CBS picks up another season or not. How they develop the characters.

We would definitely like to see the earlier episodes... anyone have an idea of where to find them?

You can purchase and view previous episodes on Amazon. The downside is (I'm told) that you have to use their proprietary video viewer.

I have watched all the episodes I have missed simply by typing "watch swingtown episodes" into the search bar. As much as I liked the concept of the show, I was disappointed in Swingtown because of all the cheating. I felt it skewed the average viewers idea of what a swinger truly was. Yes, Tom and Trina are the example to be set, I just wish the writers would have had at least one couple whom they took under their wings and did it right without turning it into every other infidelity drama out there!

I agree.
I feel that although Tom and Trina do it right, the show, to me, just screams Swinging is bad and will harm your relationship. I think most people who didn't have knowledge of the lifestyle, prior to watching the show, will get a negative message. Tom and Trina will not be remembered as the people who had the most stable relationship on the show, but as instgaters of problems.
