I think you should remove your television from the house, because Swingtown is pretty tame.....campared to lets say MTV...or whatever else the kids are watching....

(and hey at least most of the couples involved in any sexual context in the show are married.. unlike other programs)

I watched the show one time and did not personally care for it. The 70's dating didn't thrill me at all. Having said that, I saw nothing in the episode I watched that was nearly as racy as a few shows that were actully produced in the 70's and 80's, 'Soap' and 'Married with children' come to mind. Even though I do not care for it I hope it stays on.

Wow!! I go for a while and we all bicker about a show, My wife and I sit and watch this show together after the kids are in their rooms or out playing, it is the one show (besides nip tuck ) we enjoy together, especially now I have little time for the boob tube. My meager opinion is don't knock it till you try it, but then again I am an odd duck at times.

When we first watched swing town we were both upset at the introduction of drugs for the newbies, but as we discussed this we also HAD to put it in context of the Era, 70's were rampant with all type of drugs it was the experimental age. While we may not agree with it as a group we do have to see this in context as well as one pointed out the rating matter, so what do we do , those of us who enjoy the show, write to fox,fx, hbo,cini and tell them they should pick it up and gain new customers in doing so.

Now on the front with kids, I don't know alot about the new cable box, I swore off cable years ago when I dealt with poor and rude customer service, I swear by satalite, and my little gizmo lets me lock channels or even shows based on ratings, so if this is available and you don't want your kids peeking block it and open it for yourself, but count on this as fact, those kids probly see far worse in public schools.
