Swingtown - Over the Edge?

Lack of talk "At the Office" is probably why this series is not going to be renewed. Nielson Ratings are not always the only answer. The Water Cooler is as important to a show's success or failure as Nielson. But the main thing is the Advertizer. No one wants to be attached to anything controversial, and especially in an election year.

This show should be picked up by HBO or one of the other cables. It is a lot better then what has been left since "The Soprano's" left.

I agree. People at my office are constantly talking about shows... but not this one. I personally don't think I would chime in if they did, for fear I might accidentally reveal something. I can just see someone saying "oh, that would never happen" and me saying "you might be surprised" or even just getting that knowing look on my face! I wonder if vanillas are afraid to mention the show for fear that others might think they are interested. It's too bad, because I think it is a great show.

I don't even tivo it because I didn't want my daughter to ask me why I was watching it. She's 14 and pretty smart. If she tried hard enough she could probably piece together some clues... but I don't think she even wants to try (whew!). However, she did come in when I was watching it online (it's not the only show I watch online) and when she asked what it was I told her it was kind of like the 70s show only more focused on the adults and racier. If she does end up watching it and asking questions it could get a little uncomfortable. We're a very open family... but we do draw the line at our personal sex lives so I guess I will tell her "If we were, that would probably fall in the personal catagory and wouldn't be a topic of discussion". However I would have to discuss my thoughts on swinging with her
