I find that there are actually quite a few "lifestyles" presented here and that often some feel that they can't be open about their choice because it isn't the primarily accepted one. At one point I think the poly people here felt that way, hopefully they don't anymore... I'm wondering if this may also be true of those who enjoy cuckolding.

If this is something you enjoy, please post your thoughts and share with us what turns you on about this idea, and (if you act on it) how you go about acting on it.

Well, depends on your definition of cuckolding.

The dictionary definition is akin to a woman who screws around on her husband, uncaring of whether he knows and how he feels about it. We don't do that. Every adventure L has is with my full knowledge and approval.

So our adventures when I'm either not present (or I'm present but not participating) are more the hotwife flavor than cuckolding.

HOWEVER, we participate actively in several on-line cuckold groups. Why? They're great places to meet horny guys who want to play, but don't want to play with a couple. When we hook up with them, it is usually L playing solo. Usually, the guy knows I'm aware and approve. Occasionally I'm present, or waiting outside for her to finish, or on the phone listening.

Biggest advantage of finding guys in the cuckold groups is that it's less hassle (usually) to arrange some play than it is with couples.

Every way we do it, it's a win-win for the guys and for us. The guy and L get some good sex, and L and I tear each other up when she gets home.

thanks for posting. I was looking back at the definition for Cuckold that we have in the Swingers Board dictionary and here's what it says:

While the originally meaning is the husband of a wife who cheats, it has come to mean (more often than not) a husband who's wife plays without him and comes home to tell him about it. It can also mean a husband who watches his wife play with others, or is forced to watch. This can also be reversed on the wife. Since different people use the word to mean different things, it is best to ask the people using the word in order to clarify the definition.

Pretty vague huh? But then so many things are. So it really depends on the person, which is part of why I posted this thread... thanks for sharing your thoughts

The wife and I have just started doing this in the last six months. It started by me giving her permission to have fun without asking me first. We discovered after that discussion that there was a whole lifestyle devoted to this, so we have found a couple of web sites that we get advice from, and are exploring and finding our comfort level in this lifestyle. It is something we are both enjoying, and plan to continue with for as long as possible. One of the reasons it works well for us is because my favorite thing has always been to watch her with someone else. We have learned so far that there are all different styles of cuckolding, so we are just trying to figure out which style works for us, or maybe we create our own.

In some senses, I can see the appeal. Especially men who have lots of power and responsibility. I could see the appeal of wanting to relinquish control in what is essentially a power exchange arrangement. Here's why we would not do it:

1. Amy could not be intentionally mean to me, even if it was just role-playing
2. Watching is fun up to a point, but then I want to jump in.
3. Telling me I can't do something is a damn-well sure-fire way to make me want to do it.
4. I have too much fun pretending to be her pimp.

Technically it's not cuckolding if both man and wife have prior knowledge that the wife is getting plugged-or so it seems to me. Cuckolding is cheating and cheating is not consistent with a healthy relationship. Besides, when you in the lifestyle, who needs to cheat anyway? My lady has a friend with benefits that she "entertains" on occasion. I'm never there when it happens. After returning home, she tells me all about it while she's having, post coitus, coitus. This is not cuckolding-because she's not cheating, I knew where she was and what she was doing. But, whatever you call it, we love doing it!

Back to topic ... so folks who play separately, are they really participating in cuckolding? I always thought of cuckolding as demeaning or shaming your SO in some way ... and I don't think it's shameful or demeaning to play separately, if that is something you, as a couple, have agreed upon. And coming home and telling your spouse about your adventure doesn't seem to fit what I thought cuckolding was, either.

Although we definitely not cuckhold in the true sense of the word - meaning a cheating wife while husband is at home - I do get very excited and quite a bit of emotional satisfaction from Mrs. WS playing solo. I love to know that she feels good, and having the attention of more than one adoring male makes her feel sexier than usual. Also, on a primal level something about having sex with a woman who has just had sex with another man is very exciting. So it is a fun game to play that adds to our sex in immeasurable ways, and it also makes me feel more emotionally fulfilled because she is too. And when she has a regular play partner that she really, really likes beyond just sex it makes the emotional fulfillment part even greater for me.

We also don't fall into the traditional sense of cuckholding in that I can play solo with women also. But yes, cuckholding-like play in a modern sense is a huge turn-on for me.

I think cuckolding in recent years is one of those terms that some people have taken and turned into something other than what it started as. While initially it was about shaming your partner, in recent years I think that many people use this term to refer to the "hot wife" idea, of a wife going out and playing on her own (with or without her husband's knowledge) then coming home to tell him about it. He doesn't really get any say in who's she's with or what she does and the only enjoyment he really gets is after the fact.

As with everything, it's always interesting to get different people's take on what it means to them and how they feel about it.

This is exactly why we don't fit the typical cuckhold situation, because I do have a say-so and Mrs. WS third is our third. He is a guy that we both know and I approve of her seeing solo, just like any woman I see solo is approved by Mrs. WS. In our situation it's "ask permission first", so like on her way home from work she'll call me and ask if she can go see him. We call these "missions", kind of a play on her being ex-Army.
