Private House Parties - Interview before attending, what will they ask?

When we've been invited to private parties, we prefer to meet the host/hostess ahead of time (if we've never met them before). We want to ask questions as well. If they won't meet us before the party, then we decline. We've made the mistake of showing up at a party where there was no interest in the group.

As far as their screening goes, it's a good thing they care if their guests fit in.
