We are going to our first hotel party and have been wracking our brains about what to wear. We have asked the few people we know what to wear and they said whatever we are comfortable in. I know they are trying to make us feel welcome, etc., but I am really stressing here. The party, I think, starts off with a social dance kind of thing, then an afterparty. I barely have the social/dance clothes picked out, so I really don't think I will be changing for the afterparty, unless maybe a bathing suit and sarong, since it's by the pool? Ugh, help! Here is the rundown as of right now : Him : Nice (by this I mean dark, no holes, tailored) jeans, black belt w/ silver buckle, black leather dress shoes, charcoal buttoned down shirt. Her (me) : Sexy sleeveless top similar color to his but kind of sparkly; dark, sexy jeans ( again tailored, we are short, lol) black kitten heals, silver necklace, bracelets. We both have excellent hygine/grooming (I'm a hairstylist, so it's a real pet peeve of mine, lol). The theme for the club is "sports jerseys and short shorts". Well, let me tell ya we HATE watching sports (but to each their own ) so we really didn't want to dress the theme, but were afraid to be too dressed up with him in slacks and another thing is that I DO NOT like to wear dresses. I really have a confidence issue with my legs, (working on it) and just would not feel comfortable in a dress/skirt. And you are probably not ever going to see me in short shorts!! LOLWhew, that's it, I think. Any suggestions/comments would be GREATLY appreciated!! |

This is a party where you seriously can dress what you're comfortable in. I've been to several of their parties and it's hit or miss with the themes and often (unless halloween) it's not even 50% dressing the theme. Wear what makes you feel sexy and feel like dancing (if you like to dance). I used to bring something seperate for the after parties but I don't bother anymore, too much trouble! Unless your main outfit isn't very comfortable (I might bring something seperate for the halloween). There is a lot of diversity at that party. One thing about themes, if I like the theme, I love to dress them. If I don't like the theme, then I wear what makes me feel the best. That party is really a great one to try out first, you'll feel comfortable no matter what. We usually take pics before we head to the dances so you can see the pics in my profile of what I like wear to the parties and you can tell when it's a theme |

I would love to dress differently if it were more our style or interest. Seems like fun and really, we don't have any chances in our vanilla life to dress to a theme, so that was actually something we were looking forward to in the future. All of your pics are beautiful! I love the one you have up as your main pic right now, that dress just perfect on you. Again, thank you! ~A

That club really crosses the entire spectrum of the lifestyle. Some people will be really really dressed up and some will be in a t-shirt and jeans. What your describing your wearing is going to be just fine. Thanks for the compliment. If you have any questions about the party feel free to ask |

Wear what is comfortable for you. "Themes" are normally just a suggestion and not always followed.

Me and my girl went to our first party last weekend, and we were thinking exactly the same as you. In the end we went in clothes we would go clubbing in, smart casual. The others at the party were dressed casual really, one girl was tarted up a bit, but that was just coz she liked to feel dirty. From my very small experience, it seems as long as you are clean, your good. After all the clothes will be coming off quickly |

Yup, we kind of thought the same thing after we went. I was surprised at the amount of wardrobe changes I saw throughout the night. Not to say it wasn't fun to see the new outfits, but I just don't want to fuss with that. I was way too busy dancing and having fun
