Best resort for swingers

Happily yesterday my wife texted me and said we need to find a sitter for the kids and head to Hedo! Wooo hooo!!

Of course this was in the middle of a rough work day, so it was more out of frustration and need for some time off. SO we are not headed there tomorrow.

But we have discussed going at some point.

I have been reading about different resorts. Hedo II, II, Caliente, Desires etc. Both in US mainland and abroad.

Which, if any, are you more prone to find other swingers (rather than just nudist) and actually be able to have encounters? From what I have read it is actually rare unless you go as a group. Is there a different type vacation venue than these resorts for meeting swingers?

And is there a forum, site, etc, where you can meet and chat with other people that are going before you get there for any of these resorts? As fun as having encounters sounds, we would still prefer we know them BEFORE we have sex with them, and if we could get to know them ahead of time, that much the better.

Hedo 2 is FUN, but it's not actually a swingers resort although you will find swingers there as well as those who are just "swingers" while at Hedo. DennyP's is the best resource for info on Hedo.

For a swingers resort in the states we'd suggest checking out The Grove. Not nearly as expensive as Hedo , but almost as much fun, and it is a true swingers place.

Thank you TNT. We are not too far from The Grove. Not exactly my wife's ideal vacation spot, lol. She is not really an outdoorsy girl. But maybe I can convince her to give it a try.

Caliente is a great place...a bit pricey but worth it.

Two sites we frequent, NaughtyOutlaw.com and Playfulswingers.com, have threads posted about Caliente and what's going on. There are frequent parties and many posts by a number of people who are going and want to meet others.

We're headed there tomorrow and have invited friends to stay in a condo with us...I intend to be raw when I leave there Sunday...hehe.

Caliente offers three lodging choices...condo, hotel, casita...

We prefer the 2-bedroom condo. Think high-end time-share.
The hotel is nice (mirror on the ceiling) and very close to the clubhouse.
The casita's are small, beautiful mobile homes.

Caliente is not a campground...in fact, there's no dirt at Caliente. There's an island in the pool with palm trees and a waterfall at one end. The roads are paved and the grounds are beautifully kept. If you want to go to the clubhouse, just call the desk and they'll send a golf cart to pick up your naked-self and haul you all over the property...when you're ready to head to your accomodations...they'll take you back.

Wanna eat naked? Have at it! How about a great club to party in? Got it!

The sports-themed restaurant is our favorite...but we have most of our meals in the condo.

Two rules that must be followed: 1. When naked, always have towel to sit on, 2. No overt sexual acts in public.

If you do some shopping with Caliente you can find the occasional deal...we got a 2 bedroom condo for 4 nights and 5 days including day-fees for Mrs. Ekies and I for $700 including taxes as long as we sit thru a 45 minute "Get acquainted with Caliente" presentation (they have assured me it's not a sales presentation)...our friends will have to pay their own day fees of $50 per person per day.

While Caliente is not a swingers resort it does have parties and events that are affiliated with swing groups. You will, on occasion, see a family of four at the pool enjoying themselves but the clubhouse is off-limits to anyone under age after 9:00 pm.

We think anyone would enjoy a stay at Caliente...especially if you arrange to meet friends...hehe.

And it's in the states...less than a days drive from Alabama and less than an hour from Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay, Rays Baseball, Clearwater and a host of other interesting sites.

Under age? I did not even think about that. Are moost of the pf the resorts considered nudist? In other words, minors will be there as well?

Sorry about the double post...not sure what happened...

Hedo is adults only with single men allowed. Desire is adult couples only.

As far as I know, all of the resorts in Florida are nudist resorts that have families who attend. Of the dozen trips we've made to Caliente, we've seen a family of four only once. A husband and wife with two children that were 10 years old, plus or minus. With nothing sexual going on, having children around didn't bother us in the least.

Caliente has hosted a number of Aahz parties at their facility which are swinger based events. This weekend they have theme nights in the club both Friday and Saturday nights...something about g-strings and animal prints...

The fact is, they cater to nudists as well as the sexy and erotic side of nudity. We bring alot of money when we come and they want our business. We, in turn, keep the overt sexual stuff to ourselves and our friends behind closed doors.

It seems like an even trade that works for all.

I was just kidding about the double post by the way, trying to be funny.

I just had not given it much thought that children may be there. We are still wrestling with issues of nudity, etc in our household, (in another thread). We know where our brains are logically, we are just still struggling with it in action.

Having kids there is fine, we would be discreet sexually in public, even if it was not a rule. But it is better to know kids might be around before hand so we could wrap our brain around it. Still working on issues from a puritanically upbringing and being more open with our children, so they are not as prudish as we were (are still to a degree, lol) on the subject of sex and nudity.

I chuckled at the "double the fun" comment.

We started with nudity as a form of recreation about 4.5 years ago...our daughter, the oldest, was nearly 11 at the time and we didn't think that introducing her at that age was wise or doable.

For kids who've been raised as nudists, I, like you, see no problem with them at a resort such as Caliente. They played like other kids, swam in the pool and hung out with mom and dad (pardon the pun).

But after 9:00 at the club or in the hot tubs...not good for kids...VERY good for adults.

We visited Caliente a couple of years ago. It is a very nice place but pretty expensive and it is NOT a swingers resort, in that there were many nudist families with small kids around the pool when we visited.
This summer we stayed at Paradise Lakes. It was not as opulent as Caliente, but then again it was much less expensive. I did see one kid while I was at Paradise but that was only for one day. At both places over sexual behavior was not allowed. Paradise has a night club and while we were there swingers date club sponsored several theme type swingers parties. I think Caliente has themed parties as well.
We have not been to Hedo but were at Desires four times. Top notch service and well worth the money even though it is pricey. However it is an all inclusive (unlike the ones stateside that I mentioned). Hooking up can be hit and miss at Desires but that can happen at any visit to a club stateside.
