As for swingers clubs near you. I just googled the phrase swinger club alabama and swinger club tennessee, and the lists of the most popular swinger clubs came up at the top of the list. So I would say you need to expend more effort to size up the atmosphere's at a swingers club. It took me 15 seconds to find a list. If you are having problems contacting thembe sure you call them during there business hours and not yours. They probably won't respond well to a new competing business, so you will have to attend the club to get an idea of how it actually is. This does not require you to play, but may require you to actually go to a swingers club. I don't suggest Trapeze in Atlanta, as the play areas are areas where you must disrobe to enter. Menages and TSC are not that way. There are no on premise clubs in Alabama, but there are socials and hotel parties that you may want to check out.

This approach is in line with JustAskJulie's comment about: You shouldn't open a resturant if you've never been to a resturant.

I hate to jump on the bandwagon with everybody else, but I am in agreement that you should at least attend some clubs in your area to get an idea of what people desire in a club.

We have been to many clubs, some where the owners have had different levels of experience in the lifestyle. We've found the best clubs to be run by people who have been active in the lifestyle or some other adult industry for some time.

I also agree that clubs in your area won't be open to competition so I would suggest using caution when attending these places or make plans to attend some clubs that are further out.

Either way, be honest with the people that you speak with at these clubs. If you tell them that you two are just checking things out and are not interested in playing, that is fine. But people will remember that when you open your club a few months later.

If you are completely honest and say that you don't have any experience, but are interested in opening a club and would like their input, many people would be more open to that and may even be your first customers.

I'm going to stick around and see how this pans out. There are three swingers' clubs within driving distance of where we live. One is owned and operated by a couple who are swingers from way back. It's a pretty nice place. The other two are owned and operated by people who know only how to swing a baseball bat. Our current favorite is one owned by two women who were never swingers and would probably not ever be. They simply have a good sense for how to run a business.

John and Dottie, the owners of the Cottage in PA handled this in a great way. Their club is in a really small podunk town that would not even be a speed bump. They donate a lot of money to the local volunteer fire department and the local church. Any time that either organization, or the town that is not a town really, has a fund raiser, they hold collections in the weeks leading up to their fund raiser and present them with a nice donation check. When we have been there, and there was a fund raiser, be it for the fire department, church, toys for tots, etc., we have been generous in our donations. So have the other people there. That is smart business. None of them complain as long as the club is not an issue, and you grease the right palms....

Thank You for all your suggestions, We are looking forward to meeting all of you. We did attend a club recently and we are planning to attend another soon. And as far as keeping the location from attracting attention will be up to the members. We had a good time at the party and look forward to attending another. Everyone was very nice. We were both real nervous but it was soon eased and we had a great time. We should have the website up and running in a couple of weeks. Thank You.

Too bad, I was looking forward to an on site club in the area. Although, I had my doubts it would work .
