Frustrated

Not sure if I'm in the right part of the forum, this fits under many catagories.

My wife and I have decided after spending the past couple days reading different threads that going to a club would be better than going thru ads since we are total newbies here, but we are getting frustrated trying to find a club or social group to check out.

We both are not "HWP", me being 5'7" and 220, she being shorter than me and heavier. All the clubs I've found in the SF Bay area seem to be invite only, require knowing what you look like or being "HWP", "fit", "athletic", and so on. Are there any clubs that simply dont care what you look like, or cater to the larger people in life? We have found "club sas" but cant seem to find much info on it.

And since I'm asking the question, I might as well throw in the 'perfect world' scenario, any clubs that cater to larger people AND bi-couples? That would be my "unicorns, leprechauns, and Dodo birds" perfect world....

The best way that we have found out about various clubs and groups is through the Swing lifestyle site. There is a club/group for just about everything. Not sure how one would find these otherwise...

In the DC area, there is at least one club that caters to the "BBW/BHM" crowd. That's big beautiful woman/big handsome man. I would do a Google search in your area for those terms. It's such a major area; seems like there must be something. As far as the bi-couple thing, I recommend you not look for too many things at once.

Good luck. Really, just get out and meet people. Tell them what you are seeking. Someone will have the inside story for you.

We have seen several social clubs that seem to be really stuck up. Life is too short to care. I wish I knew more than what advice has already been given but unfortunately I don't know your area very well.

Not sure about this but maybe put a line in your profile, upfront, "We are looking for a good Social Group/Club."

Thoughts?

You can click on California and then look at the listing for clubs within your travel range. You can also get a free account on Swing Lifestyle that will allow you to look at their club listing, and there are a lot of them in California. The one that I took a quick look at is Club Twist, and there is nothing on their home page that appeared to be exclusive. I'm sure that there are others.

Just as an FYI, lovely wife is also a plus size woman. Our first experience was at a club and she has always had a great time when we went to a club. So look around, find a club that you think you two will like, and go!

Another option is to look through ads on Swing Lifestyle for couples with similar body types to what you have and ask them where they go. In the end you might find by doing that you meet a few couples that way, or you might find they direct you to the best place.
