Music? Nope, the only thing that gets me out there is alcohol, lots of alcohol! That way when I have my siezure (I call it dancing) I am numb enough that I don't feel the injuries that I am causing myself. Mrs. Cpl will dance to anything (and looks very hot doing it too |

I feel like dancing is easier for us to meet couples than just wandering around striking up conversations. Ability to dance isn't important, it's the body language and how carefree they are. We'll meet on the dance floor and then get to know each other later. If a man can't dance I have no problems asking him to be my pole while I dance around him. My all time favorite is Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy because I like to actually jump up, wrap my legs around my partner and pretend to "ride him" during the song. |

Mr NC is not the dancing type. Oh I can drag him on the dance floor occasionally after a few drinks, but it is not (normally) his favorite thing to do. But this past weekend a couple that we have talked to off and on for a while was there, and she really likes him. Not only did he rush out to the dance floor, but he was dancing to the beat, smiling, and really having a good time! I couldn't even tell you what was playing. But apparently what gets him on the dance floor is a woman letting him know how hot he is, and he is all over the dance floor! |

Mrs. Ekies - what she calls "booty" music. Trace - alcohol. I have no sense of timing and my feet are worse so I need to get a bit "lubed" prior to dancing. The alcohol does NOT improve my dancing it just eases the embarassment. Trace |

pretty much nothing will get me on the dance floor. I suffer from white guys can't dance...and the few times that I have been on the dance floor my motions and gyrations were virtually indistinguishable from a standing seizure.

Picture Steve Martin in "The Jerk".. I have no rhythm (on the dance floor) hence I don't dance well.. Mrs., however loves to dance and is always the first to the dance floor. |

I know that there are those who like hip-hop, and there's no reason that shouldn't be part of a DJ's mix. But the word "mix" implies that the DJ does something other than mix the hip hop in with . . . more hip hop. The fact that this often isn't done strikes me as especially bizarre when the average age range of those in attendance is 40s and up. For the sake of the middle-aged, might it not be possible to insert a few 20th-century tunes? Also: I think that every DJ who really wants to encourage the activity for which clubs are intended (i.e., sex) ought to come armed with Shania Twain's "Man, I Feel Like a Woman." Not only is it a very danceable song, but experience suggests that it's a surefire way to get the ladies up on the floor, dancing with each other . . . and forming closer bonds, as well. |

Just about anything can get me on the dancefloor... what will get me on a dancepole is another store (usually about 3 drinks and the right song). | |
