Describe the clubs that are available to you!

I'm finding in the last few years that the types of clubs that are available are evolving. There are more options available overall and they do tend to vary based on the area of the country.

What we've seen locally is that the traditional "social" is dying. More and more socials are moving to a semi-on-premise option where they have the standard social room but then they also take over a floor at the hotel where they have rooms set up for play (often on the same floor as the social).

Other options we are seeing locally...

Meet & Greets at a local bar/restaurant/vanilla local.

We still have a couple of the old style socials, at hotels but within the on-premise type option I mentioned above.

We have one club that takes over a vanilla bar for their social. "Members" only on that night.

So what types of gatherings of swingers are you seeing in your area?

We are in the Charlotte area.

We have looked for groups on Swing Lifestyle. Nothing real close that we could be a part of. Ok, 60 miles isn't that far, but it is to us when our local on-premise club is 15 miles.

Would LOVE to find house parties. Have talked to one couple, today in fact, that wants to host, but they are having no luck with participants. I honestly let them know that using the local club's website obviously didn't work - they are club-minded folks that want the free buffet, the security, the house-keeping, etc, that goes with an on-premise club.

Because of the lack of groups in our area on Swing Lifestyle, we're really not able to find anyone other than personal contact through Swing Lifestyle or our local club's site, and that's been more miss than hit. Have heard of no socials or meet n greets. Perhaps we are looking in the wrong areas?

We do love our on-premise club. Great upkeep, great music, lots of recent improvements, and in the summer (NOW!), there are afternoon pool parties on Sat & Sun, as well as Friday and Saturday nights. It's a great atmosphere, have met many fine folks. Unfortunately haven't played enough, we tend to connect on the "friend" level more than the sexual level. But I promise that is all about to change!

So being in the lifestyle less than a year, we don't know what options are out there, and they don't seem obvious in this area!!!

There's two groups that meet in the Savannah area (that we know of). Both are member's only

One gets a ballroom at a hotel (made arrangements with the hotel) and gets discounted room rates for the members for partying after the event

The other meets in the bar for a short social before retiring to a hotel room or two to party.

Funny thing is, they now both use the same hotel on different weekends.

In Las Vegas we have several meet and greet parties held weekly with an afterparty at another location. There are also 3 on premises clubs, although one may possibly close soon due to the economy. We frequent one of the meet and greet parties and one of the on premises clubs

Within an hour and 1/2 there are 5 on-premise clubs available to us. They each have their own good and bad aspects. Once a month there is a takeover of a local alternative lifestyle club. Within the baltimore/dc areas, there's about 4 or 5 weekly meet and greets at local clubs. Some are takeover some not. There's also a handfull of groups on Swing Lifestyle in our area that setup hotel takeover parties a few times a year.

None. Unless we travel to Miami or elsewhere. We are an hour from Caliente Caribe and hope they have more opportunities with takeovers.

So, considering where we live (out in the sticks with a small population), we consider ourselves very fortunate.
We are about 60 miles from Blacksburg, VA (home of Virginia Tech), and the club we attend has a pretty sweet setup.

The events are held at a hotel, so it falls into the hybrid type of club Julie mentioned. The good part is, the hotel had a nightclub that had been closed for years and years. The club owners went in 5 years ago, and helped fix it up, making it as good as new. So, our socials are held in this club (which is still closed otherwise). Nice bar, good dance floor, and just enough seating. The hotel also knocks about $20 bucks or so off the price for club members getting a room (which most do).

Blacksburg is close enough to draw from the Roanoke/Lynchburg area, and all of us around here are used to driving a bit to get to what we want to get to.

Howdy neighbor! Yes we are very lucky to have something like this in our area. We enjoy the socials there and we come from roughly 60 miles to go there. We also like the ones in Richmond where its done a little different. The top floor is reserved just for the "after" party and the banquet hall on the first floor is for the "before" party. Or its a full takeover depending on the event.
There are also the smaller clubs here locally that host meet-n-greets at local bars, our's here in the Lynchburg/Roanoke area seem to do pretty well. Both local clubs use bar's inside hotels so there not real crowded in general. These hotels do a great job accomodating us.

Then there is the smaller groups that hold house parties

I really wish we had an on-premise club here. There has been some talk but nothing as of yet.

In Tampa Bay area we R lucky to have lots of places.

Caliente Resort clothing optional has nightclub parties with themes for swingers. We're going to College Coed Schoolgirl party this Sat. It doesnt let sex happen but theres hotel rooms there for that. they have partys every week and groups host some.

Paradise is kind of like Caliente but not quite as fancy to me. Just not holding partys yet but will I think

We have 2 on premise clubs left. County shut 2 down with zoneing lately.

Theres a new off premise club opening this Sat. Its 1 of the old on premise clubs with new mgrs.

We have A restarant that has club side for off premise. It has fetish and swinger nights. I guess lifestyle friendly.

Theres also groups hosting at vanilla bars for meetngreets each month.

I guess its cuz we R spoiled here. hahaha We know we R lucky to have lots of places. Fun Fun Fun

We too are very lucky, living just north of Miami we have lots to choose from,both on / off premises such as Trapeze, Club Hedo, Miami Velvet, Deenies Hideaway and a few more. We are also just down the road from Haulover ( nudist beach) BUT, by far the best are the "Private Parties" that people organize.. All in all there is always something happening down here.

They're darkly lit, allot of doors and I hate double stairways. I have a need to go down the same stairway I went up (or vice versa) for navigational reasons.

Its embarrassing having to ask, where's that exit door when we leave, and a big showing of how helpful the cool people are in the clubs.

Its part of the reason I like the kitchen or socializing area after sex. Its easier to find the exit again from that area.

I like the clubs that pop up occasionally. A house that someone rents just for a club purpose. There have been a few of those, but usually are short lived.

I also could say in our area specifically within 50 miles we see more people forming groups that schedule hotels regularly. Their easier to find my way out also.... Kudos to them, great people.
