How have your club experiences been?

So, some folks love the swing club experience, while others find them less than ideal. So, how about a poll to see where the percentages fall?

To keep it simple, clubs will refer to both on and off-premises clubs.

Really, the people with mostly bad experiences won't even reply to an anonymous poll?

Maybe it is because people finally understand that 99.9% of the time if you have a bad time at something it is because you allowed that bad time to take place.

Clubs/Parties and life in general tends to be what a person makes of it. You try to make it good, it generally is good. Also when it is bad, you normally have a hand in that also.

The ones having a bad time did not take the time to have a good time and they don't even take the time to vote in this poll.

We only met people at clubs, house parties, conventions and swinger resorts. That way you get to meet a lot of people quite quickly, size them up and make a decision about whether there is any point of continuing with them.

Our three experiences of trying to met a couple through an advertisement or Swing Lifestyle was a waste of time. The club owner that we started swinging with told us early on that less than 10% of advert contacts would pan out. It's a awful waste of a lot of time. Very inefficient. We hardly ever failed to make a good contact when there were more than 50 couples around, as there always were at our club. And at conventions with hundreds, we usually had multiple successes on any given weekend. Very satisfying and very little wasted time.

We've had great to average experiences in clubs. Our current favorite is a local M&G vanilla (well half vanilla, gay club) take over once a month. It's a huge crowd and a lot of fun interaction. Last night we had a cancellation (illness) from some friends we had planned to meet at once of the local on premise clubs. We decided to go anyway. Both of us did not have a real run time and just weren't feeling it. There were not many people there and the crowd seemed much older than what we had experienced there before!

We've only been to a club type setting twice, well maybe 3 times depending on how you count it. Made 2 trips and one of those was a 2 night stay with a party both nights. Our 1st trip was great we couldn't ask for better. On the 2nd trip the 1st night was ok, a little busy for our taste, but good just the same. The second night sucked, but that was our fault. After the late night Friday and goofing around the pool all the next day we were dead by time the party kicked off that night. Live and learn, we just know next time to take a nap to recharge our batteries some time the 2nd day.

I think most of the time when people whine about clubs it is because they are looking for the negatives. Those that are not trying to have a good time or just plain miserable in general are easily spotted.

Even the not so good times have been great (including the ones where we didn't play with another couple at all). Of course, we enjoy just getting out and being sexy. So, our fun does not depend upon finding playmates (though it is a definite bonus).
