Vanilla Clubs and Swinging Clubs

This morning on the way to work I saw a billboard advertising for one of our big vanilla clubs here in Biloxi. The big statement on it was, "No Cover for Ladies".

It got me thinking about how people comment on the cover charges for swinging clubs being fair/unfair on their prices.

It's just not swinging clubs that try to get the ladies in, it's also at vanilla clubs. They use other means also besides no cover. Discounted or free drinks for the ladies at vanilla clubs for one example.

So I guess there is not much difference in trying to attract ladies (hopefully single) to a club regardless of vanilla or swingers.

We still want to party with a unicorn and feel like a rock star.

Just ran across this old thread and it reminded me of something that occured this weekend.

We were at our favorite on-premise club this weekend standing on the balcony when some guy on the street starts talking to us about how every club he's tried to get in wants $50/75 to get in. He said something about having tried to get into some other clubs downtown and I know the covers there can be around $20 on some weekends. This was Nashville and the CMA awards were going on so I wouldn't be surprised if some were a lot higher. He made some comment about "a guys gotta be really hard up to pay those kinda prices". I commented that I wasn't hard up, I'd brought my own date. He asked if I paid that much to get in and I honestly said "no. Not $75" (we paid $55 with our Swing Lifestyle discount that basically covered the 1 week membership, since our annual one expired a couple of months ago). I didn't go into all that detail. But at that point he finally figures out what kind of club it is. "Oh this is one of those swinger clubs, I hate swingers". At that point one of the owners walked out along with some other guys and pretty much asked him to leave the premisis.
