Romper (Bomper, Stomper) Room!

I saw a reference to the San Diego, CA's, Ivy Hotel in the December 2008 Playboy.

In the Mantrack section on page 46 it had: "Romper Room: When you check into a hotel, you expect certain things -- a bath, a well-stocked minibar, a lack of tigers. What you do not expect is bunk beds, let alone king-size ones. If that detail of the Star Suite in San Diego's Ivy Hotel ($3,500 a night, ivyhotel.com) makes you think of giggle fits and footie pajamas, please note the room's "performance" pole and the glassed-in shower that becomes transparent at the touch of a button. All of which is to say: Grown-ups have the best sleepovers."

The Ivy Hotel website confirms that the Star Suite exists. (Click the link for some eye-popping fun!)

I would be VERY interested in knowing if anyone here has experienced that luxury/debauchery or personally knows of anyone who has. I know I couldn't afford a party there.

One thing worries me though. How safe is it to be on the bottom bunk if there are four or more people engaged in vigorous activities up top?

I guess if you can answer any or most of my questions you probably are a congressman, a lobbyist, an auto industry exec, or work on Wall Street.

I guess it depends on how well re-enforced the frame of said bunk bed is.
