Default Volunteer Work at clubs/socials.

Has anyone here ever been approached to help out at your local club, social, meet & greet? If so what did you do?

I understand that alot of these events have a cover charge. Normally that is to offset the overhead. But, it still takes alot of hands to make things happen sometimes. And the smaller events do need help.

Now if you are one of those big professional clubs, then you got the staff to take care of things.

Would you volunteer to help? Tell your local event host and let them know.

Sometimes there is benefits to volunteering.

We have, and do help out most of the time. Nothing major, just little extras to keep things flowing smooth and take some of the load off the owners.

We're not the only ones though. There's several couples at our regular club that jump in whenever needed and without being asked.

It's not a huge club, and it's basically a break-even operation, so we happily volunteer our services (double entendre?).

Any you're right, sometimes there are benefits!

Interesting timing to this thread. We're headed to our local m&g tonight, and I've volunteered to model in the lingerie fashion show and my honey will be helping tend bar. I agree that if you can lighten the load for the owners/hosts, everyone has a better time.

=)

We volunteer with one local group. mostly just helping to get ideas together for events and such, and when we can make it we try to help greet new people.

We have done volunteering at clubs and socials as well. We became very good friends with some club owners and helped them run their club and conventions. We led a travel group associated with the club a couple of times as well. We have recently been approached by another club to do some hosting. I think we've decided we've done enough of that though. It's nice to be a guest!

We get volunteered to help out all the time. We actually study ourselves in the mirror sometimes to see if "I Volunteer" is tattooed on our forehead or something.

We have done everything from hosting at the club when the regular hosts are on vacation, to almost every other position, including, security, taking money at the door, watching the bar when the bartender is on a break, etc.. The only thing we have actually volunteered for willingly is we occasionally take our sound gear and dj a theme party at the clubs. But I guess we are pretty easy (in more ways than one) so we end up getting asked to help quite a bit.

Default Re: Volunteer Work at clubs/socials.

We make sure that the hosts of any party we attend know that we are willing to help out in any way we can.

At the last party we hosted we had so many people stop by the room as we were setting up and offer to help that we had to turn some of them away. It was the same way in the morning when we were cleaning up the room. Without all of the help we get from people we wouldn't be able to host the events we do.

Can I high-jack the thread? I've met two great (oh, yeah, great) men who "volunteer" at the club. They definitely have what it takes and know how to use it. I know they get in free and are welcome on couples' nights even though they are single men. Our question: are they "expected" to entertain the females?

The security at our parties are male and they are all volunteers. They do party but they are not EXPECTED to do anything except deal with the security of the guests.

I hate to say I have been to some clubs that EXPECTED the single women that they let in for free to make sure it was a "fun" party. That club is no longer and no one should ever be expected to do that.

Thanks for your response, Vegas Lee. The guy I was thinking of is more than well-endowed and certainly good enough with it to be "professional." Although he's a very nice guy as well---we were just curious as to the expectations that are put upon them.

We host events and do ask couples we know in the lifestyle to help us out at events. This is generally only to help us greet people and make them feel comfortable. The couples are usually able to answer questions about club rules, where stuff is, etc ... in turn they get to meet alot of new people, we buy drinks ...

If you don't want to host an event or don't feel comfortable in these types of situations, then you shouldn't feel pressured into them.
