Does Sex Really Happen AT House Parties?

When we first entered the Lifestyle, we did not even consider attending or accepting invited to House Parties. The reason being is that we were told for newbies, we might be put into situations where we would be more uncomfortable, being new and still trying to figure out exactly what we were, and what we wanted from the lifestyle.

So, we stuck to the clubs. After about a year, we fond the clubs were fun, but there was not a lot of sex seeming to be had from those meetings.

As of the last year, we have gone to and accepted invited to House parties. These parties are very fun, but we have found about the same atmosphere.

Lots of sexy people, but NOTHING seems to happen until about 4 AM in the morning! haha! It is like everyone is nervous about getting it all started.

Wondering if anyone else has had the same type of experiences at House Parties?

Someone always has to be first.... maybe you guys should just jump in... even if it's just getting things going with each other, once 2 people start getting naked and frisky the rest will follow.

I've been to house parties where I've walked in and people were already going at it, and I've been to others that take a while to get warmed up.

Part of it has to do with the mix of guests. If there is at least a small group that already know each other, that tends to make things a little easier to get the ball rolling. A house full of mostly strangers often takes a little while as people are getting to know each other socially. Every party is different.

Either way though, things tend to start heating up once some clothes start coming off. It may be the first woman to take her top off (or consent to have it taken off), or the first guy who's down to his boxers, but once some flesh is exposed many others start feeling comfortable doing the same. And then some type of playing often follows.

Hot tubs and swimming pools at house parties are usually the best way to convince guests to get naked. If that type of option isn't available, then basic Truth or Dare or dice games can usually get something going. Even if it's just a small group of instigators it usually influences the mood of the other guests.

But as Julie says, if you don't see anyone else getting frisky, maybe you and your partner should take the initiative and just start working on each other. A lot of other guests will probably be glad you started things.

Finally, at all the house parties I've been to, the same rules apply as at clubs: No means no, etc. For ease of mind I would suggest newbies attend house parties with someone they've already met, but house parties are not the free-for-alls that some people assume.

Not at all. With our group's house parties, we have a "greeting" session where everyone gets comfortable in the Florida room, talks and gets to know each other. That might go an hour or two .. but then at 10pm, someone strips down and gets into the pool (usually me!! LOL) to get the ball rolling, then most everyone joins in.

In the pool is the more "getting acquainted" session, where couples float around the shallow end, exchanging partners, getting in some touchy-feely with whoever looks interesting ... then little by little, we dry off then straggle off to the play area. Parties usually end at around 2-3am.

As Thrax pointed out, sometimes it does have to do with the mix of guests ... our house parties have several regulars who are already acquainted with each other but we also end up with a few new couples too, which always keeps things interesting. <EG>

At the house parties and clubs we have attended it normally happens even faster than Doode describes. They usually start about 9 PM and the sex usually gets going by 10-11. One thing that might have something to do with it is that at most of the parties we have attended it was understood beforehand that the party was going to be over around 2 AM. In fact, we have not been to one that didn't wind down by 3 AM.

The House parties we attend start around 6 pm often when we walk in some folks were already there early and partying. The majority seems to start by 8 or 9pm and goes in waves depending on the number of free bedrooms at the time.

Never been to a house party were the majority don't party or it gets too late.

WOW, Three couples have asked Laurie to attend house parties they will be throwing over the next few months. After reading this thread I can't wait to go!
On a more serious note, When going to a vanilla party at someones home the usual thing to do is ask what to bring, food, snacks, drinks, games, etc.
Can I assume the same for a more exotic party?

Four am??? Hell, I guess I'm an old lady, because by 4, if not before, I'm gathering up our clothes and we're outta there.

Usually, at the house parties we've been to, the speed of getting things started are directly connected to the time that the cocktails started. Also, if there are couples with babysitters or older children at home, they've got to go home, so things get started earlier.

If the houseparties you're going to don't get going until 4 am, maybe ask more moms and dads to come

You know we like clubs, house parties and all...as far as being placed in situations that your not comfortable with...It is gonna happen, doesn't matter if your at a club, house party or where ever. Anytime you are in a situation where alcohol and sex is involed things are going to happen...

As far as our experiances though.....Swinger are a very polite and thoughtful group that understands no means no....most people that get themselves in to problematic situations do so because they don't communicate with one another, or with the folks that are involved.

We finally found a good house party.It opens at 9 and things start to turn out about 2. We have been asked to stay the nite and yes alot of sex goes on at the house parties. like everyone has said, it just take one person to take off thier clothes to get the party started.
