A good weekend

Things are finaly starting to go good for us. It started with a really good meet on Friday night. No playing went on as both ladies had worked late that day, but what was supposed to be just a dinner meet turned into some serious flirting over some games of pool at a local bar. I dont think the regulars ever really figured out which of the ladies belonged to which guy. It was alot of fun and we are already setting up a play date for the very near future.

Saturday we had planned to go to our favorite club with another couple from here on the swingers board. They decided the wanted to go to their favorite which is one we didnt have a great experience at before. We dicided to still join them as this is the same person who we had been talking to about some of the problems we had been having with the lifestyle. One thing she was able to help us figure out is that we might do better going with a group. So this was our chance to test the theory. We had a much better time this time around. Going with other couples made a big difference in our comfort level. We found ourselves being much more outgoingand approaching others. We didnt make any connections that night but enjoyed playing ourselves. Plus it was worth it just to meet the the wonderfull person that helped us out so much. I wont drop names but if they want to add to the thread they can. I will just say they are very nice and an extremely cute couple. If many of the others here on the board are just as nice I hope we can run into more of you.

Well I'm so glad you had a good time! It looked like it too. What an interesting group we had going on there. My best times ever in that kind of environment is with a group, hence why I suggested it. It gets you being social from the get go therefore making a couple less likely to be a wallflower. I always worry that I'll talk to much and bore the heck out of someone but having so many people to sit with I don't think that happened. It also didn't prevent any of us from getting out and meeting others.

There are a lot of really great people on this board. I went to one meet up a few years ago and had a blast. It was one weekend I'll never forget!

This is such a great real-life story about one way to help increase the odds of having a great time in a situation that may be new, or one where in the past you may have had an off day. Way too cool, and it's so cool that members here take their fun seriously enough to assist other members!

Ed & Bunny, did this fun time change your perceptions of that club any??
Or was it more that you were with friends -so the club did not matter that much?

Yes the members here a cool and when they give advice I seriously listen.

This is an interesting question you ask. And its very hard to answer. We were able to look at the club a whole lot more objectivly this time. As a club I cant find any fault anymore. Some of that is due to the new owners who have made some nice improvements, but its still a nice club. It all comes down to a matter of what kind swinging environment you are looking for. Our favorite club is more like an oversize house party and we find ourselves much satisfied by our experiences there. Its just a matter of preference.

I will admit to one mistake we made though. We went with expectations. Not deliberately but they were there. After the tease we had had the night previously I think we were really in the mood for something to happen. As can happen in this lifestyle, nothing did. So it did initialy cloud our impression of how much fun we had and how well the night went.

As for going back to this club, it will not be our first choice. But if invited to meet others there, we wont say no. In fact the couple we met Friday night want us to go there with them.

And I think this one can bite all of us from time to time! We too had a great tease with a couple Friday night, and made plans for Saturday night. Well of course we thought...... But like you said.... didn't happen.

So what we took away from it? Grab the moment while it's there if you want to. Because it may not be there the next time.

I wish we could have, but both gals were tired and the gal in the other couple had to work the nex morning. But i do see your point.

Hey, that answers my question perfectly! Yea, those pesky expectations, they are like cats, they are great at hiding! I suppose the secret is to stay checked in with the fun you are having so the fun you are looking for will expose itself! Fun at any level seems to beget fun at even hotter levels, but no matter -looks like there may be more fun for you in the future!
