We have visited our local on-premise club now several times and can't wait to go back in a few weeks . I think you will find it to be nerve-racking the first time, but every time we went back, we felt so much more comfortable with the scene and ourselves. We prefer it to going to a local bar or dance club now. Remember, you are in control of your own destiny, so go with that in mind. If you both just want to dance and keep to yourselves until you feel ready to say hi to another couple, that is fine.
Everyone we have met so far are very much like us. It may take a few times to get comfortable with branching out though, I think that is normal, and we are somewhat shy and reserved. When we went our first night it was a Halloween costume night, we were so worked up and nervous about someone seeing us or noticing that we were new or inexperienced, now we laugh and say why? what was the big deal? Now we don't even need to be in a costume to feel comfortable. It is sort of strange how we cross over to the other side in the way we think about things now.
We even met a swing couple at a vanilla club recently, and probably confused a lot of vanillas there when we got a little carried away...lol, At least at a swing club, you will feel like you are at home without worrying about what others think. No one should be pressuring you to do anything and you will find it to be like any other club, just a little more exciting and accepting...
