The 50th Birthday Suprise

As some of you know, from my previous posts, I took hubby to Menages in Nashville for his 50th birthday. This was a total surprise to him.

We had the most FABULOUS time! To say he was stunned by the surprise was an understatement. In fact, here it is, a week later, and he is still agape with shock.

The club was really nice. We went on a "special" Labor Day party night on a Sunday. There was a good crowd, but, it was far smaller than I hear a typical weekend night brings.

It was also a little more casual than normal. All in all, I think it was a good night for my first venture into the swingers club scene.

We went, as I said earlier, with no expectation other than to have fun with each other - and we really did! It was a great 'first' experience for me. All of my fears and apprehensions were gone soon after we got there.

We enjoyed dancing together, talking to each other - and all night long, I got to see the amazement in his eyes every time he looked at me. He never expected this step from me - and I was amazed myself, after talking to some here, how much easier my decision became.

I want to thank everyone here that helped alleviate my fears and who supported my daring surprise! It truly did take our relationship to a deeper level.

We met only a few people that night and did not connect to play with anyone else - but we did retreat to a room for a little fun of our own and it was incredible!!

Since that bold step on my part, we have talked to a few other couples and we actually met a couple earlier this week, and experienced our first "full swap" with them last night.

I can only tell you that everything I ever "thought" I would feel (negatively) never even entered my mind. It was so intense!! Prior to last week, our only play had been MFM - and he always enjoys watching me that way. But I have to say that I had the same reaction watching him last night!

Your encouragement and support on this board, along with other fantastic posts here played a huge role in helping me take this step. I cannot thank you enough!

Congrats, it's so great to hear such POSITIVE experiences on this board. It just goes to show that when you go in ready to have fun as a couple and not worry about everything else just how much fun the lifestyle can be. On boards like this so many threads are people with worries or negative experiences looking for advice (which is totally cool because there are so many supportive folks out there)...but it goes to show that so many of us are having a GREAT time and I think we need to post more those stories. Keep having fun!

It was a wonderful evening - and I can't begin to describe how self perception has changed after this set of events. It has been a wonderfully positive experience that we will continue to grow into together!

LOL - Life may begin at 40 - but the steam definitely cranked up around 45 - and it shows no signs of letting up yet! IMHO, every time I look at him, he just gets sexier and sexier!
