House Parties

We are new to the scene. Not interested in clubs but a private house party seems like a good way to get our feet wet in soft swing etc. We are on a few sites like swingers date club and Swing Lifestyle. Whats the best way to meet folks lkg for the same thing....

In my opinion the best way is to find another couple who are very experienced and think the same way as you. If you hit it off they will introduce you to their friends and you may be invited to some of their parties. It's also less apprehensive to go to a party where you already know at least one couple. Unfortunately it may take some time and a lot of luck but it's worth it.

Actually, I think private house parties are more high pressure than off premises clubs. At house parties, usually some (or all) of the couples have at least met, if not played before, which usually means the real deal starts a little faster. The play area is usually RIGHT THERE, as opposed to a lot of off premises clubs, which usually have hotel rooms nearby. You won't see any sex at the club, where at a houseparty, it more than likely will end up being a free-for-all right there in the livingroom. At a off prem party, you more than likely won't be the only newbie, whereas with fewer people at a houseparty, you may be the only newbies.

We were apprehensive about going to a club too...just because we had all sorts of preconceived notions about how it would be. Turns out now it's our prefered way to meet people.

This would be my suggestion too! That and read the profiles of others on the web sites. Look for people whose profiles say that they like to host house parties.

We haven't been to a club but we have been to a house party. I agree with Pepper. I'd try the off premises club first.

with what Pepper said, and I am not just saying that because she is hot and I want to get on her good side. If it works out that way though, that is ok too.

We have been to house parties and on-premise clubs, haven't been to an off-premise club yet, but the house parties that we have been to were much more high pressure than the on-premise clubs are. So for what you are looking for I wouldn't recommend a house party either.

We were amazed at how relaxed and low pressure the first off premise club we went to was. Imagine a regular dance club...mellow out the pressure level by a couple notches...take away the puffy attitude of the people looking to be noticed...add in a bunch of very normal, secure, and nice people...and that's what we found.

As far as finding a house party, N&G gave some good advice.
