How dressed up do women get at clubs?

One thing you should always remember is that you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Most women dress very sexy at the clubs we go to. The men are usually in casual attire. Some clubs allow jeans and shorts, some do not.

It is always best when going to any club that you check and see what kind of dress code they have.

Ok we're going to a swing club for the first time next friday in Ft Lauderdale, and while we get the comment that women can't dress too sexy, our first time jitters are making us ask, what do you mean specifically by dressing sexy......thanks paul n becky....a/k/a newbies and very naive. thanks

Usually women will wear short, tight dresses, high heels, thigh highs...club wear, something that is not necessarily see through, but gives the illusion of being so. Or they might wear, tight hip huggers with very small tops.

You can do a search on the net for club wear and that will give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Men are usually in jeans (if the dress code allows) or casual pants, with nice dress shirts.

Dress like you would when going out on the town for dinner and dancing and you should be all right.

But are see-through tops for women OK? I've heard that it's not uncommon. Would it be not appropriate?

If there is liqour being served it may not be OK for see-through.
You are always best to check with the host of the club you plan to attend.

We go to our swing club just a few times a year as we do most of our swinging with our regular group of couples. At the club I wear (at least at the start of the evening!) a smart summer shirt and dress pants. Jo usually wears a simple shift-type dress and nothing underneath. Her dresses are made of material which is not strictly see-through although you can see the outline of her body when the light is behind her.

Women dress sexy ( some slutty ), but classy at the same time. Men are more casual, but it's recommended to look as sharp as you can.

I would definately say check with the club. Most often I have seen women arrive as described above (sexy dress, short skirt, revealing top, etc) then change later into some sexy lingerie (if allowed).
