What would make you leave?

What is the one thing you could encounter at a club (on or off premise) that would make you want to turn around and walk out of a club?

I have left because someone was smoking a cigar or a pipe.

minor reasons like no heat/too cold...

BUT I would for sure leave if I saw drugs. - but I never have seen drugs at a club...

cops or a news crew outside... those would be pretty good deterants too...

Yeah, that would probably do it for us too

Other things would be a dirty environment or extremely loud music (we like to talk and be able to hear others.)

Any hard drug use, unclean conditions, any abuse be it physical or mental, or any overt acts of rudeness that the offender or offenders were not expelled immediately by the staff. A half dozen Sheriff's Deputies would do it too.

hmmm, let's see...
First of all, a host that is disrespectful (inappropriate kisses and hugs). Music that is just awful and not being heard when you make a request. Not being served beer in a cold mug ( a simple request of mine). Bathrooms being unclean or out of order. Air conditioning not working. And all of this really did happen to us at a local club. But generallly unattractive people or unfriendly people will end it for us.

Seeing our son or daughter(OMIGAWD) there

Seeing the host(s) playing with the patrons

Any drug use

Any police in the club or hanging around nearby

I am fairly new to the scene. My second event ever was at a club meeting a group we had not met in person yet. We went into the playroom together leaving the door open. I guess this is must be an invitation that anyone can join? The hostess who toured my husband and I around the place came back to the room after the fun began, got naked and joined my husband. One hour later I had had one guy (thank God for him or I would surely be in therapy right now), my husband had completely forgotten my existence, had been through four women and was especially captivated by our hostess. We ended with him still busy and me sitting in the corner wondering what to do with myself... Later I felt having the hostess join without her partner upset the total balance that would have been without the extra woman. I am not very experienced. I felt like the experienced girls licked and sucked and fucked the room dry. Maybe I should have been more aggressive with the men. Maybe I am just an idiot. I don't know, but I have not been to a club since. But it is nice to see someone else make the above comment. I don't feel like such mental case now.

Never saw any problem with this, but then again I've only been to private and semi-private events.

Just remembered what would make me leave an off-premises party:

-Too many looky-loo couples with no interest in actually playing
-Too many people involved in cliques
-Everyone running around on ecstasy or cocaine
-Too many single female "walk-ins" who are just there on a whim

I would have to say being uncomfortable.... I have only been to one club thus far, but it was a very eye-opening experience... I thought people would be somewhat clothed... I must have arrived late. Also, I wasn't sure of the etiquette, so I

didn't know who was suppossed to approach who if they were interested.... I also wouldn't have known what the open door meant! However, I did learn alot.. and saw quite a bit too ; )

We have not attended any of the on-premises clubs in our area.

So we can only speak of off premise clubs.

Having been swept in and hauled away by the long arm of the law during an "harassment bust" by the local vice department, I have no problem with activity being "held in check" by owners and management of off premises clubs. They have to be aware of local laws, and they are also governed by the alcoholic beverage laws that are quite specific about activity where alcohol is sold. We appreciate the management of a club keeping things within the law to protect all of their customers.

When we see folks "pushing the limits" and beyond, especially when the management is not mindful of it, we are ready to head for the door. Any titillation that might have occurred in the viewing is over-ridden by an unhappiness over the management's disregard for ALL of their customers, rather than wanting to be the popular choice by the few who violate the laws as their preferred club to attend.

And we would be "outta there"!
