This is not bad as they both put on a very good meal. Both clubs went from 7:00 to midnight or after. Look what it cost to go out for dinner and a movie.......Not a bad deal for me. John |

Just figure what dinner, breakfast, and a hotel would cost and the club is a more than viable alternative.

| Swingers Board Addict | I think that it also helps weed out the undesirables. Only serious people are going to pay that much to get into a club, just as IMO only serious people are going to pay to join a good website. In our area the on premise club charges close to $100 "membership fee" which is good for a year, plus $30+ for each night or event. They do not sell alcohol, its byob, so I guess they have to pay the overhead costs some how. The off-premise club also has a membership fee, I can't remember what it is but its a couple of hundred dollars, but this allows you unlimited access to the club at no addition cost. If you opt not to get a membership then it's $30-40 per night. They have REALLY inexpensive drink prices so in the end, it seems to average out. Then if you take into account at least in our area that the average nightclub charges $5-10 to get in, plus nearly $4 + for a drink....we end up spending about the same. But we have a lot more fun at the swing club!

(Depends on the special activities nights). I don't find that to be outrageous at all. First off I would think their security costs would be higher than that of a regular night club as they have a lot more to look out for and protect. In addition to illegal drug usage, they also have to watch out for those who don't understand the meaning of "No". They don't sell liquor (at least not the ones we have been to) which is where night clubs make thier money. You can't openly have sex in a mainstream club, you can in an on premise club. Most provide DJ's or bands, have special games or theme parties and offer prizes...etc. Ours provide snack type items and mixers for the entire evening. Some allow overnight stay. All in all, I find it to be a very inexpensive way to have fun with the type of people that you most would like to hang out with. Lori

Off-premise clubs are often less expensive and densely populated areas where there is more competition have lower rates as well. I have been to clubs that charge a membership fee and then a reduced fee for each visit or clubs where you can visit without taking out a membership and pay an increased "guest" fee. It depends on how often I think I am going to visit on which option I decide to take. I still think it is worth it. | |

| Club Owners | As the owner of a club I belive I can help you understand the pricing structure.... First off, a swingers club is not usually open every day of the week yet they have to maintain their location for their weekend parties just as a regular club does. So two or three days of revenues as opposed to six or seven days for most other nightclubs and bars. Second, most swingers clubs are BYOB. That is, they do not sell liquor. The reason for that is simply that most states' Liquor laws make it illegal to have lewd or immoral activities where liquor is sold. Now, while I personally don't believe that swingers activities are lewd or immoral... i don't want to risk an entire business on convincing a judge of that. So, with the only source of revenue being the door cover the admission may seem to be a bit high. But, if you take into account the high cost of drinks at a regular bar... you're getting a little better deal. All in all, it's not the money maker some assume. So, support your local swingers club... It really is a labor of love!

| Active Member | The first time I ever went to a swingers club it was on a free night The power exhchange in San Francisco. It was nice to get a fell of things and would probably pay to go back on a Couples only night. I've been to a club out here. I believe it was about $30 for the yearly membership and $25 for the night. But it was a very nice place and I definnatly think it was worth it.
