If you were in Ohio........

For those of you Ohio folks. We are new but would like to try a club. We sorta prefer a off premise but we are not set on it,,, we just know we want to find a club.

If your in Ohio ,,, which would you suggest?

We are in Ohio and fairly new. We are headed to Eros on Saturday, it comes highly recommended. It is on premise, but it's not like you are obligated to participate there. Maybe we'll see you there.

My suggestion would depend on what part of Ohio you are in, or how far you are willing to travel. There are quite a few clubs in Ohio, a few of which are good.

Off premise clubs can be cool, but to newbies some can be scary as well. Usually the host will have a party at a bar or club and book rooms at a hotel nearby. Our second venture into the lifestyle was an off-premise party that stated newbies were welcome and would be treated as such but it didn't turn out that way. Once in the hotel on the blocked off floor things got quite a bit wilder than we were expecting and we had a few bad expieriences. The only thing that kept us in the lifestyle afterwards was reading these boards and getting an idea how to deal with things.

On Premise clubs woked best for us afterwards. Hope you have a great time in the lifestyle.

We reside in Dublin, Ohio but have no problem traveling if we can find the right club for us right now.


I say off premise ,,, well because I think right now we both want a little privacy w/ another couple. I would think there arent many couples in the on premise clubs that are looking to seek more privacy. I just assume theyre getting theyre fix there?

It is hard to say, but the only thing that I would think that fits what you are looking for would be Princeton. It is not my favorite club, though it is definitely the best looking facility in the area.

It is on-premise, but due to the set up I would say it has the potential to work as an off-premise for those who want to take their play elsewhere...

Truth is, I am not really aware of any off-premise clubs around here. I know there are plenty of parties and quite a few hotel take-overs, but an actual club... I haven't heard of one.

I agree with Spoo, The Princeton is a very nice facility for your first excursion. The dance\main bar area and play area are sort-of separate. So you can dip your toes in the waters and see what works for you.

One thing to keep in mind is don't limit yourself to state lines. We live closer to to ClubUtopia (Fort Wayne, Ind) than we do to Columbus. About the same distance, actually. Great onpremises club.

I would recommend either Utopia or Princeton. Both clubs can seem a bit quiet if you show up on a night when they aren't have a special party or some sort. The clubs are both fairly large and spacious so even if they have a good number of couples on site, it can seem empty.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at any club you goto. We have never felt pressured at any club we went to and they all have been very good for newbies. You can move at your own pace and the worst thing that will happen is that you end up in a room with your SO

If you're leery of visiting a club in your area -- because you might be uncomfortable with the EXTREMELY remote chance of meeting someone you know -- you might try the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indiana state, or other clubs mentioned in this thread. Make a weekend out of it. Do the touristy things in those areas and then pop into a club one of the nights you are in the area.

If that's the case, you might want to look into DJ's Island in PA not far from the Ohio border.

I would also like to recommend Princeton. And I would recommend going to an on premises club instead of an off premises club.

I am making the assumption that when you say "privacy", you mean hooking up in a room with just another couple. In other words, not in the social area and not in the group room. If that's the case, then you will in fact find people at clubs that fit your interests.

We have nothing negative to say about Princeton at all. In fact, we work their occasionally. We have a different club which is our favorite (Club 104) but the more I think about it, the more I realize it is because we just have a lot of friends there (and I don't mean "playmates" - mostly just people we love to hang out and play pool with). It is a fun crowd.

There are some differences which tend to fit our interests. Princeton has less privacy and is far less intimate - but the facility is by far the nicest in the area. 104 is more private, but far less "classy". So - it is give and take.

It really depends on what you are looking for and what type of people you are comfortable with. Princeton is great and we've met some great people there, but when we make plans to head out, it is almost always to 104.
