How would you feel?

MrVan and I recently read on another forum about one of the clubs in our area who have decided to open the club up to the public for one night, free of charge to all that come to help a porn star reach a new record of 1001 Gang Bang. As we read this information that this particular club was doing this, we were a little shocked that this club that was classy and a very nice club has now opened up the club to the public and MEDIA for this event.

We are now a little leary of attending this club in the future as now with the media that will now know that the club is there along with people who are not in the lifestyle now knowing more about the club, that now the atmosphere will change. I have heard some people talk about this situation as being the lowest of lows for this club. And I personally do not want to be associated with a club that is now opening it up for one night to the media. The gang bang is not an issue for me and hell, I would go just to be a part of it

but I know that we will not be attending because of the possibility of media being there and what this could do in exposing us.

I guess I have concerns now with just the "privacy" of the club because now that the media knows what is there, will they be back? Will there be more drama gathering outside of this club that could put our faces out there to say that we are swingers? It is not that I am ashamed of what I do as I enjoy the lifestyle, but as we all know society still is not ready for this yet.

So I am curious as to how you all would feel if one of your local clubs that you attend did something like this, would you continue to go to the club?

I would definitely question their integrity and stay away. I would not be happy. All about money...makes me ill.

The first thing that comes to mind is gawkers. It's almost like us giving a show for the masses. Even though I am an exhibitionist, I prefer to keep it within the lifestyle.

The one time gang bang doesn't bother me, as I know a few porn stars and would probably be there that night as well.

Like you, the problem I have is the open to the "vanilla public" and media.

I'd let the management know how I felt, and the owner, if you can get to them. They're the ones pulling the strings.

You could always attend as a gawker....of course someone will no doubt come up to you and say "nice to see you again". I would guess you're not going to see that many vanillas attending. Especially if they know the media will be there.

With that being said I would myself feel betrayed by the club, as I'm sure many members do. Swingers enjoy clubs but they also like to remain anonymous and out of the public eye, for various reasons. MOST club owners respect and accomodate that. I would guess this club will not be around for much longer....because of a really stupid descision.

If it is true, I would feel shocked and a little betrayed, which might be unjustified...but it would be how I'd feel. Swingers have enough to contend with without throwing raw meat to wild dogs.

The way Mr. Fuse and I swing is about being with people we like, respect and are attracted to. I don't like being lumped in with people who have indiscriminate sex with anyone who walks in the door. Aside from having sex outside of marriage, I don't see what we have in common with people like that, but events like the one you describe just help people paint us all with the same brush.

I don't have a problem with people who are into gang bangs for sexual gratification. But this seems like it's more about sensationalism, fame, money, and a gross-out factor than about sex. None of that is classy, so if your club is doing that I'd have to wonder why.

It appears to be true.

I belong to a Yahoo Group that has its primary membership in Ohio. The owners of one Ohio-based on-premise club send out periodic emails to the group and advertise their upcoming parties and special events. The gangbang is mentioned in the latest email message. I won't provide a copy of the complete email here, because in addition to naming the club, it also mentions the porn star who will be gangbanged and provides a link to her website, the sponsor and his website, etc.

However, the gist of the message is that on May 17 the female porn star and the sponsor will be hosting the "World’s Largest Gang Bang" at that club and the event is free. The club owners refer you to the porn star's website for more information on the event and note that there will be at least several "male porn stars" participating in the "performance." They note that there will be over a thousand people at the event and that -- you all are going to love this -- it was announced on the Howard Stern Show.

My husband and I are members of the club in question, we are not happy at all. I am fine with saying I'm personally disgusted, repulsed, whatever else fits this sentiment.

The club is thrilled to death that Howard Stern is talking about the event, according to the last club email I received.

This club prides itself on being classy, and this just doesn't say classy to me.

YMMV, but personally, I'm considering not going back and have canceled our trip for tonight because I'm skeeved out for whatever reason.

My suggestion would be for all of you that don't care for what the owner of this club is going would be to send him an email stating your case.

Most owners/managers welcome feedback. It is the only way they know what is working and not working.

Yes, it is true. The club in question posts to 2 different clubs in our area and the owners email is attached to the advirtisment. All I can say is Great Googly-Moogly.

Having digested this again, at least they are announcing to their members that this will be a 'public' event, not that that makes it right, but at least no one has to walk in the door and perhaps have one of Howard Stearns lapdogs stick a mic in your face and tell you to 'Say Cheeze'...............

Now I realize how war's get started. The Mrs. replied to one of said clubs advertisments on a local group board, asking if they were on crack? I was forced to take the alternative view, if the club annonces what they are doing, tells everone what's going on before they enter, then it's their business, just as it's their club. Will they ruin future endevours? My guess is probably, but it's still America and people have the right to do stupid things.
