Our first visit to a club

Well, Jr and I finally attended an on-premise club this past Friday. Since I am a newbie, we both felt that attending an on-premise club would be a good way for me to get a feel of the lifestyle. We also choose a Friday thinking it would be less overwhelming for me. As we drove to the club, I was so nervous and scared. My stomach was in knots. I had never done anything like this before and as much as I have researched the lifestyle, nothing quite prepares you for the real thing. Of course Jr, having prior experience, was calm, cool and collected. I kept thinking to myself I wished I knew someone on swingersboard I could call and chat with girlfriend to girlfriend.

When we checked in, the greeter commented on our being newbie’s. I must have sounded and looked terrified because she and the others in the entryway all laughed and told me not to worry, I would be fine. We met up with our hostess and she gave us a tour of the club. It was a lot of fun to see things I had only read about either on this board or elsewhere on the internet. The club has quite a few playrooms with locking doors; a couple of rooms have windows for watching and a couple of rooms for open play. Many of the playrooms have a toy of some sort such as a Sibian, various types of swings, and a table for some type of activity that I do not recall . Our hostess turned on the Sibian and I played with it using my hands. Boy, does that sucker go super fast and the way it wiggles! There is also a glory hole room and a dark room.

It was a very quiet evening. There were no more then about 30 people. Most were couples, a few single males, and females. Our hostess, her husband, and another group went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and took great care of us the entire evening. Everyone we met was super nice and I guess word got out that I was brand spanking new and I was only there to see if I liked what I saw because everyone we met brought it up and were asking how I was doing and why I was interested in the lifestyle. Not a single person made me/us feel uncomfortable; no one was pushy. Every person we met were the kind of people I would enjoy knowing outside the lifestyle. We were constantly encouraged to try out the rooms, which we did towards the end of the evening. We ended up in the room with the rocker swing that I had had my eye on all evening and we had a grand time. It was one hell of a thrill knowing the room was right next to the dance floor and since the rooms don’t have ceilings, everyone could hear us.

Pussyshaver.com was there with a booth and was doing demonstrations with their shaver and toys. I was approached at one point to participate in a demo for both; I was so embarrassed and politely (I hope) declined. It’s funny how I felt like a naïve blushing schoolgirl at times. I also think I gave the wrong signals a couple of times with either my actions or comments. I am one of those I trust everyone until you prove otherwise, touchy, feely; everyone is my friend kind of people. It was also a lot of fun to see who was watching us. A single male approached Jr in the bathroom asking him what we/I was looking for. Another single male kept walking by and smiling at me while Jr and I were alone playing pool or while we were walking around. He was everywhere I was. It’s a shame he was too short for my preference because he was cute. Maybe I might change my preferences a little facelick. Several couples and singles we had befriended invited us to join them in the hot tub. We were also given quite a few business cards. We made it quite clear from the beginning we were only there to get a feel of the place; however, I think if we had met someone or a couple that we were really attracted to and felt comfortable with we might have played a little. Something else that surprised me about myself, I was very comfortable with asking lifestyle related questions and having discussions about the lifestyle with total strangers. Not exactly something I have done before. It was pretty cool.

After the club closed at 2 am we went back to our hotel room, changed, and went to Denny's which is next door to the hotel. It seems quite a few members go there afterwards. We were invited to join one couple at their table but I was so tired and still nervous, I declined without thinking. I sure hope they didn't think we were snubbing them because I did not intend to be rude. Another group, which included the bartender, came in and he approached us and gave Jr and I each a big hug.

Over all we had an enjoyable evening. The downside was we were somewhat bored. There was very little going on, although I did see a lot of activity I had never seen before . The club didn’t have the energy/excitement I was hoping to feel, but I think that had to do with the fact they aren’t usually open on Fridays. We definitely plan to attend again within a month on a Saturday.

Sorry this post has turned into a novel. I want to thank this board, Julie, and everyone who posts here. If it weren’t for all of you I wouldn’t have had the courage to have made it this far. You are all wonderful. Don’t be surprised if the board get’s new members because of our visit; I plugged swingersboard.com a couple of times.

That sounds so much like my first visit! Except for the being bored, but we were near a purple monkey so how could it have gone wrong.

It sounds like your initiation went really well! It's wonderful that you met so many friendly people who made you feel comfortable.

I haven't seen a glory hole room or a dark room. That sounds really wild, not knowing who you're having sex with at all, not even seeing them. I'm not sure I could do those, but it sounds interesting!

How did they know you had anything there to shave?

I was curious about this. Were people giving out real business cards, with their work phone numbers on it, their job title, their full name and employer? I'd just never do that because of discretion. Or, were these cards that were printed especially for the Lifestyle, such as with the couple's email address on it? We know a couple that gives out cards like these and it has a picture of the two of them on it.

I agree! I will feel far more confident and less scared next time. I am really looking forward to going again and am already bugging Jr to commit to a specific date. We are also planning on attending their New Year's Eve bash.

Interesting! We've only known of the one couple that had these cards. My husband wanted us to make some, and it does sound neat because it's easy to exchange info. But, I was afraid it might seem kind of like we were "professional" swingers or something...sort of hardcore. But if there are that many people out there doing the card thing, maybe we will, too. As a newbie, what was your impression about being given these cards?

I have to mention how sweet Jr was about the whole thing. He has been so patient and supportive of my need to go slow, in fact he had to slow me down at times. None of this is new to him (he played when he was previously married) but he wanted to be sure I was ready.

When we were in our hotel room and I began the multi hour process of getting myself ready, he decided to spend the time visiting the outlet mall next to the hotel. When he returned, he surprised me with a beautiful silver chain belt to go with my outfit. I had mentioned during our drive up that I was disappointed that I hadn't been able to find a belt I liked. That little gesture moved me so much. In the store where he purchased it, he had asked the sales clerk if she had belts in the backroom that weren't on display and she came out with several. He even asked her to model them for him to see how they looked. He also visited a couple of lingerie stores hoping to find something super sexy to buy me but didn't see anything he liked. He received quite a bit of attention from the ladies in those stores (which he throughly enjoyed), since he was in there alone.
