In the qaint little Borough of Coopersburg. Up until about a year ago (approx) there was a massage parlor on main street (Rt. 309) "Fuji" spa, it offered happy endings. The only reason it ended up getting closed was due to the bank across the street being robbed and the state police being there. No one cared about it until then. There is an adult bookstore on 309 with a Coopersburg mailing address. No one cares about that. There are two locations in the borough that hookers operate out of. (won't say where out of respect for the gals).. No one says anything about that? Why all the interest in a Hotel that is licensed and sanctioned by the State Liquor Control Board for adult entertainment that legally rents it's rooms to a group of swingers for their conventions? The bar is open to the public. All this is perfectly legal. As someone said in a previous post the rooms have been used for sex by the renters for years! The borough is alleging that the Zoning has been changed to a private club. It has not, they wrongfully issued a cease and desist. The bar is open to the public. If the "conventioneers" choose to rent hotel rooms on a regular basis and use the bar which is open to the public it is legal. This Witch hunt/Commie hunt mentality really gets me fried. I hate to rant about this.. but I want to keep the swingers community informed.

Is this raid any real surprise given the political climate in this country? The righteous religious right has a strangle hold on our government and media. Just remember this event when you go vote in November.

Well, like I said, they found a way to shut them down:

A strip bar and swingers’ club the borough sought to shut down has closed. The borough turned off the water to the Silhouette Showbar on Monday. The strip joint’s water bill was more than $700, and the building cannot be occupied without an active water supply, Borough Manager Daniel Stonehouse said.

Stonehouse said the action concerning the pending water bill is unrelated to the borough's legal efforts to shut down the bar's Club Kama Sutra, which has been offering Saturday night sex parties.

Yeah, I'm sure it had nothing to do with it, Mr. Stonehouse.

The bar is open and doing business, it has been since wednesday night. Hearing in Allentown on Friday morning, should go well for the bar since it is not violating any zoning. The water bill was an oversight on the bar's part, due in part to the legal battle that is in progress.
