looking for lifestyle clubs in Cancun Mexico?

My husband and I are looking to go to Cancun and are trying to choose between a place like Desires Resort, which is morning noon and night of lifestyle fun. Or we can find clubs that we can visit when we want. The problem is we can't find any listings anywhere for couples clubs in Cancun. This makes our decision a difficult one. If anyone knows of any, please let us know. Thanks in advance.

There are no known swingers/couples clubs in the Cancun Area at this time.

There has been several attempts to setup such clubs but all have been
unsucessful.

we're heading to Blue Bay Gate Resort in Cancun on March 2, 2005. Adults only but not really an open swingers place as far as we can determine. They have a "sexy pool" area where a lot is supposed to go on, but we'll see. This is a part of our Newbie exploring phase....plus we just need some sun and sand. Tired of this Connecticut winter

We were at Desire last week and Blue Bay Getaway last year. BBG is topless and seems to be geared toward a younger crowd (should be fun during spring break) that is finding it's first topless and occasional naked experience risque, naughty and exciting. Trip Advisor has very good reviews. BBG is good if you are going to Cancun with vanilla friends where this would be a brave new world, or if you want to be close to regular nightclubs like Coco Bongo or DadyO's. It might be difficult to hook up there, unless you have really good swinger radar (is there a technical term for that?).

Desire is a much better choice if you are interested in swinging, like being naked, having/watching sex in public, or even if you're just thinking about swinging. The opportunities are there for whatever you want to do. The resort is intimate, and you can get to know lots of guests and staff in a short time. Everyone is very friendly, and as you would expect, there is no pressure. You make of the experience what you want. There are also some other plusses...the beach is nicer than BBG's (BBG's faces north and has a wooden sea wall); it's prettier; we thought the food at Desire was better; if you need to, day or night trips can be arranged to go into Cancun to do whatever (it's not that far away).

A couple of other quicks notes about Desire...it's very relaxed and laid back, especially during the day. Activities and games are available, but most people just lounge around the pool. They read, sleep, chat, and soak up the sun. After 3-4 pm people gradually make their way up to the hot tub for an impromptu late afternoon, early evening happy hour (there is a bar at the hot tub). People are chatty, and we met a lot of people and made a lot of friends at that time. It's a good time to make a date for later! Dinner is from about 7-10 and at several venues. Interestingly, during dinner the restaurants want you to dress up. The "international" restaurant (which was really prettty good) asks the men to wear slacks (but if you didn't bring any, they will overlook it)! The disco gets rolling 10:30-11:00; the playroom and hot tub 12:00-1:00 until exhaustion.

No, nothing like Desire specifically. However, Lifestyles Tours and Travels does host resort takeovers on the Pacific Coast. Two coming up are:

September 25 - October 2nd

Qualton Resorts in Puerto Vallarta... Couples only with Clothing Optional Pool. Sort of a Latin Lifestyles convention.

November 5 - 12th

Calinda Resort in Cabo San Lucas...Again, couples only and Calinda’s 2 swimming pools, 3 small hot tubs, balconies and patios of the rooms will be clothing-optional for the week and the beach will be topless.

We also host trips along with our club's members and can put you into some great places.

In all honesty, Desire is what you want it to be. There is no pressure to participate in swinging. We met several couples that were just nudists and enjoyed that aspect of the club.
What's nice is that, if you want it, it's available. Whatever "it" may be.

If you're uncomfortable with public sexuality, though, I don't recommend it.

We've booked rooms at the Desire Resort for September 14-24th, 2005. We'll be traveling with some very dear friends of ours, and just can't wait for the trip to hurry up and arrive. Maybe we'll see you there!
