1st time at club...

Okay... Don't laugh. We are going to a club (Ft Lauderdale Trapeze) for the first time on Wed (I know it' not the best day but it's the only day we'll be in town.) We are soooo new to this, I have no idea what to expect. I know the women dress sexy. I want to know if jeans and a sexy top would be okay? It's so silly, I feel like I'm in high school again. I just tried on the outfit today and felt GOOD in it. I just don't want to be out of place. It's funny... I am so excited and nervous at the same time .

Also, after two kids, I feel my body is not the way it used to be. Are people truly able to see past the stretch marks?

Any suggestions for a nervous and excited newbie?

I have no clue what their dress code is, you might want to check their website, but most clubs either frown on or just plain do not allow jeans.

Don't be worried if you do not look like a magazine model. In most clubs you will find that the other people will look just like the ones you see walking around the local mall, although they probably will be wearing less clothing .

And that's the most important thing! If you feel attractive, you'll be attractive to others, trust me on that one. What you're planning on wearing sounds just fine to me.

Your feelings are normal and we all get them. Just go without any expectations except to have a good time with your husband.

And yes, everybody knows that our bodies show our 'life experiences'. Only snobs would find that important, and who needs them anyway?

I'm not real sure about the jeans. I tried to check out their website but at this time there is a problem with it. We had considered going also, but we are just not ready for it. I do recall something about the proper attire, but at this time can not remember. Make sure to find out before you go so its not a wasted trip.
As far as the stretch marks, lol, I have two kids too! Don't worry about it. Go and have a good time. Please let us know how things went. I have been curious.

It's so fun to feel the excitement in your words! Nobody here is going to laugh at you for any question...we're glad you feel comfortable enough to post.

As Brad said, if *you* feel sexy in it, then it is the right outfit!

Wear it - and if you have any doubts, bring a second outfit with you. That way, you can change should the mood hit you. Nikki does that often.

You will not find many people at the club who have perfect bodies, so yes people will definitely be able to see past the stretch marks - few people if any will even notice them! People there are as excited as you and the lighting is usually soft to create the right atmosphere...

We went to Trapeze once. If it is still the same it has two parts. A club/dance area - dress as you would at any dance club and a back area, see the spas on the webpage - they are back there. Clothes go in a locker and towels only in the back area. There is lots to watch and do. The group area which looks like a giant bed in the web was amazing. They have a number of small rooms with locks for private use. Just go in and lock the door from the inside.

We're new too. We watched a lot and went to a private room by ourselves for a while and then went to the group area just for the visual/sonic environment but just kept to ourselves. That worked for us!

Check to see if the club has a no-jeans rule, if so that will answer your question. If not, then you should be fine. It's about wearing what YOU feel good in. If you feel Good and Sexy then others will see you that way as well.

You might want to wear a sexy bra/panty underneath your outfit (or go bra-less with just a sexy g-string or panty) so that you can strip down as the night goes on (should you choose to do so).

Hi Guys!!!

Thank you for your help. I'm going to wear my jeans (they're "nice" jeans and hubby seems to have a hard time keeping his hands to himself when I wear them). Spent alot of time planning what to wear "underneath", too . This is going to be fun!

Had a great time! The jeans were fine. Or as hubby said very fine. Excellent advice Julie with the fun clothes underneath. We had alot of fun taking the layers off.

Talk about liberating! I felt really comfortable in my skin and was able to just relax, and have alot of fun.

And what they say about the sex afterwards -- its all true -- we aren't night-owls, but that night he and I played in our room till 4am.

Julie -- Hubby would like to put together a review, but it (Trapeze) isn't listed on the clubs page for Florida.
