Help! Desire Resort, what to tell others

Well we've got the sitter, the tickets and the hotel booked and then it dawned on us: what do we tell our friends and family about where we'll be when we go to Desire Resort, Cancun? If we just say "Desire Resort", its too risky that someone will come across the web site, which is not discrete, and connect us to it; especially our teens.

any suggestions anyone may have would sure be appreciated

We would suggest that you only leave your cell phone number and tell them that you will have your cell with you at all times. When it comes to the name of your hotel, simply make one up. You really don'r have a whole lot of options here.

Just tell them you are going to Cancun. If you have a cell number you can leave then do so.

If you have to leave the hotel number, I really wouldn't worry too much. Desire Resort (like Hedonism) while it does have a reputation, only those who are looking for it would know about it (the reputation that is)... and even if someone does ask about it you can always deny. "That place was wild, we had no idea what we were getting into, a friend said reccomended it..." etc.

Good answer, Julie. When the husband and I go to Hedo we always just say we're going to Jamaica. Also take the cell Last time there, we couldn't get a signal so we just called mom and dad (they had the kids) in the afternoons.

We went to Desire in October. We took a months "international" contract on our cell phone and we called home. We just told people we were going to Cancun and conveniently forgot what the resort was called when asked. We did leave a number for emergencies only. I believe they also have a computer room there where you can buy air time and keep in touch via email. I can't quite remember what it was but we bought something in the gift shop there and the bag had (I think) Blue Water Bay or something on it so thats basically what we called it when we got back. Anyone who asked about it who wasn't in Lifestyles we told them we had a good time but that it was expensive and seriously overrated LOL didn't want them trying to book up.

$5.00 US for 30 minutes of high speed access. Your time will not expire if you don't use it IF you remember to log off before leaving the pc.

Desire Resorts is owned and operated by Blue Bay Resorts in Cancun. Blue Bay is a vanilla resort although it does allow topless and is more populated with a younger crowd. You can always tell people you stayed there.

Wow, what a great bunch of suggestions. Blue Bay Resorts it is; overpriced though it might be. We'll get the intl contract.
