We don't want to bring ahrd liquor because neither of us drink that much and we feel it might hammer us a little too much We were thinking of bringing some beer, but what do you do with it once you get there? Do they keep it cold for you? How do they keep track of it?? Do you bring a cooler to keep at your table? That just seems a little low rent at a supposedly upscale club. So, fill us in (about the BYOB!) ![]() |

Here in Texas, you handle all your alcoholic drinks yourself. In Florida you turn it over to the bartender with your name on it and they fix your drinks for you. At our club, we provide buckets to ice your beer down in and some couples will bring in a small cooler to keep their beer, wine and other spirits in. The best course of action would be to contact the club in question and ask them directly. Don't worry, they're used to the question I assure you. We sure are. Most importantly though, just go and have a good time!

| Posts: n/a | From our expereinces you bring a cooler. I felt odd about it the first time we went to a club. I wasn't sure if I should drag in my own cooler but I didn't know what else to do. Plus I didn't think it would be too classy to drag in a cooler of beer, which is what I prefer to drink. So I brought a small cooler with some Captain Morgans in it. Low and behold once we got in the club there were coolers (all sizes) at every table that had everything from beer to wine coolers to the harder stuff. After that first visit I now bring a cooler with beer and fit right in. Hope this helps. |

Swing Lifestyle Name:Spoomonkey | At our club, they have quite a few larger coolers - plenty of room for everyone to stash their beer. We were concerned, of course, that putting our beer in a public cooler was the best way to get it mooched, but we haven't had that problem at all. In fact, I usually end up drinking at least one more beer than I bring because people are quite generous. Obviously, all clubs differ, as the notes above have indicated. I agree with Tom & Bonnie. Give the club a call. Spoomonkey

I've been to clubs that do it both ways. In a way I like the bar set up better because you don't have to worry about your alchohol running away... but at the same time now you have to stand in line to get the alchohol that you brought ![]() |
