Desire, Cancun - Review

Or should it be revue .... whatever! Just got back from a week in Desire and I have to say it's the first time I have ever really not wanted to come home, well OK I had to because I was running out of sexy outfits! What a great, great time we had. Resort is just outside of Cancun set way back off the main drag actually behind croc. infested mango groves so it would be hard to escape in the middle of the night if you weren't having fun But seriously the security is right there, you have to wear arm/leg bands - no-one is getting anywhere close to it who doesn't belong there. The grounds are really pretty (got some great photos if anyone wants to PM or IM or whatever - will be glad to share). Unlike Hedo it's couples only but the fun is as good. It's a "Lifestyles" resort and yet there is a wide mix of couples, some just nudists, some voyeurs, some exhibitionists, some soft swap, some full swap so you can't just "wade in", you have to get to know people first ... unless you're in the hot-tub after midnight! We didn't do that 'cos we're not group party people but the reports were that everyone had a ball. They will be raising their prices after Jan. 1st by at least 30% ....but we're going back next year anyway. Hopefully that raise will put air conditioning in the disco and fix a few minor living area issues that didn't spoil our fun anyway. The age range is very wide, so whatever age you are there's someone you'll identify with if not "connect" with. "Couples" is not confined to married couples, there are some unmarrieds there too. I guess I just want to say OMG what a wonderful week, and if you're looking for a vacation as a newbie or a veteran I think this works.

We just booked our frist trip to Hedo II for January. We originally planned on going to Desire but everyone we spoke to that had been to both said we should go to Hedo since it is our first lifestyle resort vacation.

What's your opinion?

We went to Desire in April 04 and just loved it as well! We prefer it over Hedo. We like that its couples only, service was wonderful and the resort was small enough that you could literally get to know most of the other guests. We will go back!!

I would disagree with going to Hedo as a first Lifestyle vacation. Hedo is not just couples or just lifestyles and we found it a little difficult there to figure out who was interested and its much bigger so its harder to get to know everyone as opposed to Desire. I think it would be much easier to "ease into" a comfortable situation and move at your own pace than it would be at Hedo. Although we haven't done Hedo 11 only Hedo 111.

Thanks for posting your expierence at Desire. Last week we were checking out rooms and flights for next summer and I was actually going to look for reviews online today. At 30% increase in rates is real steep since it is already at least $330 a night now but you only live once. We honeymooned at Hedo II and had a great time but

we found it a little difficult there to figure out who was interested

. We played with two couples and she had some additional bi flings but there was this great couple from Canada that we met our first night there. We hung out with them all week and nothing happened. We didn't find out till we were checking out that they were swingers and had been waiting for us to make the first move.

MMm..thanks for your feedback about this place, all I know is I love love Mexico, and well, I know I would not want to come back if I went there!! LOL

We've been to Hedo II twice and have not been to Desire. I thought that Hedo II was a great "ease into things" place, although I think you will have a better time if you don't go with the goal of hooking up. It just happened that most of our swinging experiences have been there. facelick It's not a swingers resort, as someone else said, just a wonderful place to be in a sexually-charged environment. From what I've heard (again, haven't been to Desire) it's a little bit more laid back and not as "zany" as Hedo II, but most of the people we've talked to who've been to Hedo II and then gone to Desire say that they will now make two trips a year: one to Hedo II and one to Desire.

We are going to HEDO II this November for the 4th time, each time we go it gets better. We also went to Desire this year it was also fun, but not a lot of open sex, until you visit the playroom. Now that was great fun, with lots of sex going on. You have to do them both. We are also considering a trip to each every year.

me and my wife are new to all this, we are going to Azulik http://www.azulik.com , so we can ease into the lifestye. I thought about Desire but we dont want jump head first, we have to see if were ready. What are the rules in desire , is sex at pool or the beach during the day forbiden, what are you allowed to do. We were just at Desire in November and had a wonderful time!!

Sex at the pool and on the beach is not permitted but, when the hot tub opens at 1:30pm, there is all kinds of play taking place.

We made full use of the beds around the perimeter of the hot tub and had a fantastic time. There's was lots to see and be seen. Warms me up just thinking about it. facelick

The playroom is kind of hot or cold. I also found that sometimes there was a lot of action and other times....nothing. The jacuzzi was definitely the place to be.

We can't wait to go back next winter. Mmmmmmmm.

We are taking a trip the end of Feb (kind of a spur of the moment thing) and are considering Desire, but leaning towards a Patos in Costa Rica http://www.patos.com. Has anyone heard anything about this place? We have severla friends who have been to Desire and we feel like we know what to expect there. Patos seems a little more exotic to us and that fits our current mood

Haven't heard a thing about it but please post your experiences if you go. We loved Desire but would really enjoy exploring some other options as well for variety's sake.

Patos was really, really great. we were new and only stayed 2 nights because we weren't sure if we'd like the resort idea; but the hosts and guests were wonderful people to get to know, and enjoy both at playtime and in 'ordinary' situations. we'll go back for sure

we just got back from desire, and we both can't wait till next year...its was everything wrapped into 1 for us....we relaxed during the day.... the staff was great couldn't really ask for better... food was good... drinks were plentyful...and the night was sexually charged, kind of as mild or wild as you wanted it to be.... took us a few days to warm up to it all, but after that look out...as for open sex ,lets just say , at night there was plenty.... in many diff places.... we are definitly going back next winter , if not sooner...

been to bath desire and ble bay getaway ...bbg is way more fun..hotter sex...better younger couples ..its fun go there
