Help...club theme dilemma!!

Hi everyone..
My hunny and I are going to an on-premise club this weekend.We've been planning on this for a loooong time and are extremely over the top excited about it!However,as everyone knows, clubs sometimes will have a theme for the night.This weekend's theme is tropical nights.Ya know, bikinis,hawaiian shirts, that type of thing. Hubby is not a flower person And,I feel more comfortable in skirts and halter tops Also, flip-flops are mentioned.I'd like to wear some heels.What we were planning on doing is dressing him really nice in some complimenting colors...and me having my fingernails air-brushed with some hawaiian type of flowers and paint my toes in a tropical color to match and I was going to wear a really,really short skirt and halter top and do my make-up really sexy and look as tropically-summer like as possible.Do you think this would be alright?? Yes, I'm stressin'!!

Sounds great to me! Stick a flower in your hair and you'll be all set...and stop stressin', it'll be fine!

I have found myself stressed about what I'm going to wear. Once I arrive at the party I soon learn I didn't need to waste my time with such worry.

Air-brushed fingernails with flowers? That must be expensive!

Your nails won't hardly be noticed next to your boobs and legs and smile and eyes...you get my point.

Wear what YOU feel comfortable in. That's the best way to go.

Thanks you guys I like the idea of throwing a flower in my hair...a very nice little touch!!And, yeah,airbrush can get expensive...maybe I'll just have them paint a few flowers on my nails Who knows!!I'll let you all know how it goes!!

As far as the guy side of this dress up goes... make him a lei- you can use either dental floss (unwaxed) or thread made just for lei’s. Roses and stephanotis and cranberrys are common in Hawaii but any sturdy flower will do…go see what is fresh at your local Sam’s Club or Cosco.. two dozen should do it. Think of it he will have been ‘leid” before he ever gets there…lmao

Oh and the needlsto use are the the long ones used for carpets...they are at every JoAnns fabric...there are also needles made just for this

One thing I have found is that typically when there is a theme only about half of the people there will dress for the theme. As others pointed out the important thing is to dress so that you are comfortable.

I've been stressin' :rollseyes but finally came to the same conclusion{Hubby kept sayin' I needed to relax. ,go figure..me??RELAX?? }.Since it's our first venture...ya know how that goes.I did get the nails done,ladies...they are too cool! But, my hunny was totally NOT wearing flowers or fruit I even bought him a toned down tropical type shirt and he wasn't havin' it It was so funny Anyway...we'll see how everything goes!!Have an awesome weekend everyone!! facelick

Goodtimes:
The club we went to was Club960 in San Francisco...We had so much fun that night.Unfortunately, we won't be getting out there again 'til early next year. But, we're definitely looking forward to it.
