Sir Mike and I got some flavoured condoms at Toys In Babeland, one of those famous "sex positive" adult toy stores here in Seattle. I'm happy to report that they are deliciously thin, and smell like a candy store. They cum in vanilla, strawberry and mint. Sad to say I was totally unimpressed with them...it just isn't the same!

Well, most of the condoms we've tried aren't that good either. The flavor is obviously artificial, and it doesn't last very long. (The flavor, not the erection or the BJ).

Maybe you could add some chocolate syrup and whipped cream.
Personally, I like the raspberry filled Lindt chocolate. Take a piece and let it melt in your mouth and then go to town!

Even with all the various arguments for safe sex, I just can't imagine using a condom for oral sex. Flavored or otherwise. Part of the whole experience is the taste and texture -- the *personal-ess* of the act, if you will. (Yes, I'm making up words).

None of us can ever be absolutely certain that our partners are disease free, but I would rather skip the entire experience if I have to use a condom for oral sex. Penetration? Now that's a bird of a different feather and I understand it is somewhat contradictory.

As far as flavored condoms go, I'd rather eat a real peach or strawberries or chocolate bars. Food *flavored* things, including bath soaps and sprays or colognes, are a total turn-off for me. I just have no use for smelling like a fruit tree and I really don't want to be performing oral sex on a stawberry.

Frankly, I just don't get how a woman would derive any pleasure with one of those dental dam things.

In reading past threads, I came across one that discussed the most intimate sexual acts. Seems that many felt that oral sex was extremely intimate. Surely they weren't talking about oral sex with Saran Wrap or dental dams.

For those in the know, exactly what is a dental dam and how do they work? I mean, how are they attached to the female. Or are they attached. I'm displaying all elements of my ignorance in this one thread, but I am really curious.

Getting a blowjob while wearing a condom is akin to taking a bath with one's socks on. I don't imagine cunnilingus would be any better with a dam.

At the end of the day, people should do whatever makes them feel most comfortable, but the idea of protected oral sex - male or female - seems a little too sterile to me. And like the three posters above, I'd sooner do something else.

While we don’t use condoms for oral sex we do use them for intercourse. She actually prefers the flavored ones for that as she can then perform oral afterwards and not have that spermicidal/lubricant taste to deal with.

Dental Dams:

are sheets of latex/rubber approximately 5" x 7". They are held in position with the hands.

I scored some from public health (read FREE) and handed them to the women who frequented our drop in/shelter. I also handed out flavoured condoms in my work with street walkers. I got flavoured ones and naturally the working girls were skeptical of the flavoured ones, which were all I had, so I offered to taste test them.. NOT on a person mind you.

I can vouch for the mint and the chocolate but not banana.

I've tasted several different types, brand and flavors. I agree that they taste weird and destroy the experience. However, if disease through oral is a concern for you, you'll get used to it eventually.

Just like sex with a condom, you'll accept it with but it will always be better without.
