My girlfriend got her period 1 week and a half after taking the Plan B pills, is that normal? She also says her period is lighter then normal, does that mean she's pregnant? Finally when a woman gets her period, can she still get pregnant? |

You're supposed to get your period after taking the morning after pill (at least that was our experience when we needed to do it). We can't comment on how light or heavy the flow would be as it depends on the woman. Anybody want to comment on the rest? |

Have you talked to anyone at a planned parenthood clinic yet as suggested earlier? They would be able to answer all your questions. Jesse |

Yes, I have talked to her about it but then she's a stubborn woman and she wont talk to anyone about what we did. She just said as long as she had her period it is normal and she isn't pregnant. So I only go the way I know how. I post stuff up but people don't know who I am so yeah. This is the best way I can think of for help.

Hey, Deadman, --It's been about two weeks or so since your first post about your girlfriend's possible pregnancy. You mention in the latest post that 'she's a stubborn woman': Please don't tell us that her reluctance is the reason YOU won't go and get some answers for yourself?!?! C'mon, man, you need the information! I'm saying this like I'm your mom here, so pardon my tone: if this is someone you want a long-term relationship with, you need to start thinking with you brains and not your dick. ---Any woman who won't get informed, get advice and get plain old educated about birth control (and safe sex) is playing games!! I understand your reluctance to discuss anything as private or personal as your sexual activity w/ strangers, but I can tell you something--- health professionals DON'T CARE what you have been up to!! We have our own lives to live, and your 'stuff' is your business. So fella, do us all a favor and get yourself some information so you will know what you're doing. ---The folks on this board will be less than supportive the next time you 'post' and take up our time with your lack of planning. Plenty of guys go to Planned Parenthood solo. Nobody cares. You say you are posting from California: it's not like you are in a really small town where everyone knows you. Even if you were, you deserve to get answers to your questions. Don't allow anyone to hold you as an emotional hostage because they refuse to be savvy and informed. Okay, that's it for the 'lecture from Mom'. |

NightGoddess is right, there is nothing stopping YOU from getting the answers from someone qualified to give them to you. You don't even have to GO to Planned Parenthood to get them, you can just call and ask your questions and get correct answers from someone qualified to give those answers. We can only do so much here, we aren't Dr's (well there might be one or two around here, I really don't know). So our answers can only take you so far and are more opinion and what we think than actual fact. You need facts, so whether or not your girlfriend will go get them, you still can. |

I just wanted to thank all of you who helped me with info on this and also the advices. I called and ask the parenthood place and they said plan b normally do change the period and the length. They also said they would advise us to take a pregnancy test. It's been a month sine the incident. So she took her first test today and it came out negative. now she's waiting until tomarrow for the 2nd test. I am really releived. anyways again, thank you all.
