With your name being DrZiggy, I had to look up your profile on Swing Lifestyle. I don't think I've said an intentionally mean thing to anyone in these forums until now.

I can tell your right off the bat. You don't have anything I would be interested in reading. You didn't ask for my opinion but your profile is actually an affront on so many levels that it just demands it. Most of your rants focus around judgmental people, do you not see the hypocrisy in your own rants?

You take terms and generalize them to make other people sound ignorant but you overlook the obvious points to the terms themselves or maybe it's just that your European background you reference with your "wider perspective" prevents yall from actually getting the point by us paranoid Americans.

You come off as very arrogant while trying to hide the fact within humor. Life must be very good for you up on your pedestal.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion (no matter how ill founded their perceptions may be). But attacking someones character is uncalled for.

It's my opinion that DrZ is a respected member of academia searching for fundamental truths about the behaviors and mindsets of the broad population of folks practicing nontraditional sexuality - especially swingers. I have a lot of respect for his contribution to the body of knowledge and his data presentation to a very pragmatic society. I think we need more folks like DrZ in the community.

Socolais - I want to say that I have followed many of your posts and I have a lot of respect for many of the things you write. I typically would agree that attacking someones character is uncalled for and I would be one of the first to agree with you.

Having said that, DrZiggy's entire profile is an outright attack on many peoples' character and I might even go out on an limb and say its an attack on the majority. Just because they do not call us out by name doesn't change that fact they are attacking almost everyone and especially those who have posted in this post at some point.

I'll give a single example, almost everyone who has posted under this thread, at some point, has said that people who 'swing' outside their spouses knowledge are cheaters and not swingers. Almost EVERYONE here under this thread has said that! DrZiggy said that we should accept people without morality and that 'cheaters' are in fact 'swingers' and we who do not believe that are the 'morality kings and queens' for thinking differently. Therefore his data is inconsistent with the majority of people that are reading it and compromised.

I will agree that his profile is very off putting. I would not be interested in pursuing play based off of the attitude conveyed and the disdain on show in the content. It's clear that my life experience and world view are not compatible with his.

I dont know, begining to wonder if Dr Ziggy really has anything, but yeah if is some busy Dr. then well I guess we will have to wait..... But its been three weeks since he so proudly announced he had results and we would be surprised at them. You would think he would be eager to share after saying he had it, dont tease and the leave us hanging Doc!

Well I've been thinking about this, because it beats working.

You know, while I wouldn't meet one of the good ziggys major requirements, nor would he meet ours, I'm not sure if its worth getting upset over. In fact I think its sort of nice for its honesty. We are so told in life how we shouldn't mention the negatives, but then we never get to really know what we are getting into meeting someone based on a profile and then wonder why the night doesn't work out.

If a couple had strong feelings about playmates politics or whatever, I'd rather know that before we met.

Maybe ironically long before we learned it was 'bad taste' to mention politics in a profile, I had a political wise crack in our profile, and THAT is what got a couple to contact us which turned into friends for 7 years.

So really while a profile might be thought of as offensive, thats all the better, the gray areas are removed.
