Society and Birth Control

I think this quotation from the article TNT posted explains the only realistic reason for a man to want to take a male birth control pill:

“It is time for men to have some control. I think it would empower men and deter some women out there from their nefarious plans,” says Brown. “Some women are out there to use men to get pregnant. This could deter women from doing this. An athlete or a singer is someone who could be a target and they could put a stop to that.”

Personally, it's MY body, so I feel it's my responsibility to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. The pill was effective for me in that regard, but not without one pesky little side effect. It KILLED my libido. Thankfully, by the time I came to that realization, Mr. Sweet and I were ready for a permanent measure, and he chose to get a vasectomy. Would he have opted for male birth control if we weren't ready for a permanent "fix"? I honestly couldn't tell you.
