STD Pre Test

My husband found an STD test that you use at home, motel, club, car or where ever. Each participant is tested one hour before any intimate touching and you get the results for all known sexually transmitted diseases right then. The test is done in front of all involved parties and no cheating can take place. If everybody is negative, let the fun and games begin. If it returns a positive, we pass. It sure took the fear out of the whole process.

Well, that is certainly very interesting.

What bodily fluid might they be using for testing? Do you draw blood over drinks?

You do realize, I hope, that if you ever get a false positive you will be shunned from then on in the swinging community, and no one will even talk to you, let alone play with you. I suspect even if you later took a more legitimate test and were proven clean, the deed would be done, no one would be willing to take a chance on you again.

Inquiring minds want to know then. What is the name of the test or the website? I think further information is necessary, otherwise anymore discussion is for nothing.

I did a quick google search for my own information.

Basically, Yep you can get a home HIV type of test. $20-40 for one test. Some other home STD tests can range from about $20-90 for EACH particular STD you are testing for. This is starting to get expensive, then when you multiply it by the number of people who are playing...

I did not find an all inclusive test and really doubt there is. Each disease will probably have to be tested individually based on their unique properties.

It seemed like most sites suggested you see your doctor, public health center or online testing site. I don't remember the costs of the online sites.

Trying to play doctor and lab is difficult and expensive for the untrained layperson.

I am just trying to use a little common sense here and admit I may be wrong. If the information is out there, let the world know... and us!

This makes me wonder how many swingers have an STD but are unwilling to tell for fear of becoming an outcast.

I believe this technology is not quite mature enough to provide dependable results in the wide variety of conditions it would be applied at home, the hotel, club, or house party. Early adopters will pay for the R&D - and we're in the crowd of folks that would benefit from its convenience.

I think most of the folks we have played with would be likely to believe lab results over a home test so the long term damage would be minimal, but a false positive would be a real bummer at a party.

Until the home tests prove their merit, I'm content relying on my personal judgement.

We have a small group of people that we play with and we all are tested by an MD at least quarterly. I haven't heard of the test you mention but it is interesting.

It would be a dream cum true for me if such an all inclusive at-home-STD-test were invented.

I imagine it would be best if it were like a lithmus paper that you put your saliva on.

On a similiar note, I recently took an on-the-job drug test to hire on with a company. It was a saliva test that gave fairly instant results.

as testing goes the military does NOT test for everything as some think, Herpese for instance, when you donate blood they also don't look for anything that they concider NON blood born, plasma also. It is amazing as you do research as to what you find out and as to an all inclusive test it would be awesome, but as a REAL blood test can deliver an false negative or even a false posative I have to agree that it would "brand" the couple or person with in the comunity.

On a side note if folks would actually go out and learn a thing or two they would realize that dangers are at a minimum and can be negated with safe play. with safe play you can have a less of a chance than playing with someone you think to be "clean". After all a test is only as good as the day it is taken

After all a test is only as good as the day it is taken __________________ I don't speak or write proper english however, I do use fluent American Ease to its foremost!
