condoms and oral

We are very new to this (only played once). We used condoms during oral and intercourse. My question is this; how many of you use protection during intercourse, but not oral?
I LOVE to give blow jobs, but found that it wasn't nearly as fun with the condom. I want the man to really be able to feel exactly what I am doing to him. If the man doesn't cum in my mouth what are the risks?

We don't use condoms for oral. Is it possible to transmit HIV via oral sex? In extremely rare cases, yes. How much risk? Antidotally, Magic Johnson the basketball player was HIV positive for ~10 years, having unprotected sex of all types with his wife, and she never got it. (COULD you get HIV from a single sexual encounter? - yes.)

We fall in the realm of those who use condoms for intercourse but not for oral.

We, too, do not use condoms for oral and generally do use them for intercourse. You will have to do your own research on the risks. The only sure way to avoid STDs is not to play. Everything else is a gamble (to one degree or another).

Yup... my wife doesn't require a condom to perform oral on her partners... anything else... yep it's a must.

We don't use or expect condoms for oral. But we do require condoms for play unless we've come to an understanding with that couple for (which hasn't happened in years... there are significant trust and comfort issues involved).

It is possible to get a STD from oral, but very very unlikely.

I do not request or require condoms for oral, but do require the same for intercourse at this time. Oral sex has a much lower risk of transmitting certain STDs and it's a risk I am willing to accept.

Just tell the men to use lube inside the condom.

Also use a stretchy cockring to make sure the condom doesn't slip off if you have intercourse.

If it's a good quality condom he won't really know the difference between having a blowjob with on or without it.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with this one. I don't care what anyone says, things just don't feel the same with a condom on.

Don't get me wrong, I'll wear one when I have to without a single complaint, but you can't convince me that there is no difference in sensation.

no way mrs. likkit is is giving head with a condom, she hates the taste. lol and although i repect other ppls decision to use them we generaly don't unless asked to. as said by another poster in the condoms poll forum we trust and rely on people rather than rubber.

I'm not referring to condoms like lifestyle or trojan. I'm talking about condoms like okamoto condoms which have a thinness of about 0.02-0.04mm. Other condoms are 0.07mm.

When the condom is thin and has a good lube inside and out, it will feel like nothing as far as feeling what she is doing what her tongue and mouth.

These condoms also have no taste so the woman can't complain about taste.


Lastly, I notice that a lot of people who are having sex don't really know about sex toys, different types of protection and how to use them to their advantage without problems, and how the body works.

Is it because these people don't go deep into the sexual culture due to a subconscious view of sex being shameful and therefore it holds them back from asking certain questions or is it just laziness and hoping the person they are having sex with is safe or knows how to protect themselves so they won't have to show them?.

the chance of getting HIV this way is pretty low. You would still be at risk for HSV. You can reduce the chance of HSV infection by learning to spot an active outbreak. Gonorrhea and Chlamydia are also risks for oral play-but those STD's are both treatable.

You can also reduce your risk from unprotected oral sex by requested clean, recent STD results from your partners.
