We actually contracted it from the couple that we were recently with, much to my dismay. UGH Anyway, another question: once a woman has HPV there isn't a cure and she will transmit the rest of her life, right? |

Make sure everyone gets treated, and then retested afterwards to make sure that it clears up. the majority of HPV infections also clear up on their own. They can test the strain to see if it is the cancer causing ones, and in that case you might want to be more careful, but in other cases, after 6 months to a year, its gone. |

While chlamydia is easily treated with antibiotics HPV is not treated with antibiotics. Getting rid of HPV is like trying to get back your virginity. Ain't gonna happen. Click on the FAQ link on this site and look under the 'Aren't diseases a problem?' link for starters. I would recommend that you follow that up by reading the Wikipedia article on HPV. Very thorough article. The CDC website is also a good resource. |

Antiboitics have no effect on a virus. Just curious. Did you guys use condoms? Tell us your story, you may just end up helping some people out here.
