Default A question on condom use & lube

If you read the literature it says to put a drop of lubricant in the end of a condom before rolling it on. The purpose is to increase sensitivity. It does actually work. The question is..... how many of you take the time to do that? The heat of the moment is such that there is desire on the part of all concerned, and expediting the procedure seems to be a goal.

How many make putting on the condom part of the fun?

No, we don't to be honest. If I'm really being honest, we are bending our rule on the condoms with the one couple we play with only. So, I guess thats one rule down. Isn't it funny how you start with rules, and once you trust people the rules are sent flying out the window?

Still, no anal. That rule isn't going anywhere anytime soon lol.

No.... lubricated condoms are lubricated on the outside. I am meaning on the inside, at the head of the cock. If you lubricate the inside, a layer of lube adheres the condom to the head of your cock, making it much more sensitive.

Sounds good but then I wouldn't want to perform oral afterward. I'm a very oral lady and anything that hampers that just puts a damper on the fun. Just a thought

Actually, this does work, but it's easier to do with partners that you have been with before. If it's the first time, you have to explain why you are doing it, and in some cases it can kill the mood. With partners you are familiar with it can become part of the whole experience (e.g., "With a few drops of lube I can really feel being inside of you...").

And as for NewtotheLife's concern for taste (if I'm interpreting your comment correctly), many of the big-selling lubes (Wet, AstroGlide, etc.) do NOT have a flavor. So if there is any residual "taste", it's usually from the condom, not the lube.

While the lube may not have a flavor, it isn't pleasant to have in the mouth.

I've found that lube leftovers are not unpleasant (that would be lube from a container, not the remnants of condom lubrication), but I defer to you and others since we all have different senses of taste and texture.

After all, I like broccoli and brussels sprouts, but I can't stand beets (they taste like dirt and I can't figure out why people want to eat moist dirt...). Also, I love lima beans, but a close friend of mine says she absolutely hates cooked lima bean texture ("They don't squish right when you bite them...").

So, to each his or her own. I guess that's just something else to discuss before a threesome, foursome, or moresome encounter.
