Women Condoms and Men Condoms at the same time??

Every since I've started having sex, I've always used condoms. I wanted to know... Are there any women in here who uses women condoms and have the man that they're swinging with (not their husbands or boyfriends) use regular condoms at the same time.

I don't want to creep out the man I'm hooking up with, but I just want to be extra extra extra careful. Am I being paranoid??

I would think this would not be a good idea for the same reason that the condom manufacturers say to never double up the condoms. The reason they say this is because two pieces of latex rubbing against each other will destroy themselves in short order and then you would be going bareback and not even know it. I would recommend you stick with one or the other, but not both, unless the manufacturer of them recommends using both at the same time.

Pretty sure two condoms together are a bad idea but check with the manufacturer of your female condom to be sure.

Two forms of fallible birth control are a good idea - don't know about female condoms, but a diaphragm might work well with a condom.

Thanks 2jersey!! I'm not worried about getting pregnant being that I can't have anymore kids (tubs cut, burnt, and tied) When the time was right, I just wanted it to be safe. But I do appreciate your input.

I don't think you are being paranoid per se, and if it makes you feel more comfortable then it can't be a bad thing...especially if you are able to get pregnant still. With me its more about protection against std's, because I have been spayed lol. I have no idea as to the protocol with using it along with a male condom, so I can't give you any advice on that end of it.

I am trying to figure out the amount of smoke that will come out from your crotch in the middle of the action from the latex rub.

It seems to me it may be hotter... literally speaking, but far from safe, just stick to one of them. There are male condoms devised for hard sex, which are thicker and more resistent, and for use this would be more safe than using two condoms... unless the manufacturer tells you otherwise.

Sereneiders, you just gave me a whole new perspective on the old term "burning rubber". After sex with both a male and female condom, do you have to "peel out"?

This got me curious, so I took a look Avert's website (they made the first female condom). www.avert.org/femcond.htm They most definately say that using a male and a female condom at the same time is not a good idea.

However, I am curious about if their failure rate is greater than with a male condom, but I couldn't find that anywhere. The more complicated things are, leads me to believe that there are greater chances of failure...and that thing just looks damn complicated.

The reason why I was thinking of using both was 13 years ago there was a snow storm so I couldn't get to the drugstore to get my bc pills. So I was without my pills for the month because the blizzard shut down everything. So what is a girl to do. ??? Ah Ha, we'll just use condoms. At the end of the love making when he was cumming, the condom broke!! A baby came from it and as of 9/28/o6 my baby turned 13.

Now like I said, I can't get pregnant anymore so no worries there. My worries are getting stds. Thank for the info and I'm going to check out that link.

Shelly I've been spayed too!! This is all about protection for me/us.
