HerpesMWC is off to a great start
Default HerpesMWC looking for comments on swingers with Herpes

We, HerpesMWC, would like to say hi to all members and introduce ourselves.

We are a couple (33 Bi-F and 37 Str-M) in JAX. Native Virginians new to FL we recently moved here from VA and lived in NY for a short spell prior to that.

As you can tell from our Nickname, We have Herpes (Simplex-2) and aren't afraid to tell it. We feel it is nothing to be embarrassed about. Unless, of course, you managed to get it from a farm animal.

We also feel that EVERYONE who has it (or anything else) needs to let it be known AHEAD of time, like in your profile. This GREATLY reduces useless messages, emails and stress.

Also, let it be known that just because a profile might NOT list an STD, does not mean a person does not HAVE an STD. I cannot count the number of singles and couples that contacted us (AFF, SwingLifestyle and other sites) that revealed that they, too, have Herpes(HSV) or Genital Warts (HPV). Yet, their profile made no mention of it. Four of these profiles even stated "D&D Free" in their profiles. Yeah, I'm gonna trust these people with my health. Up to 90% of people with genital herpes have not been diagnosed and are unaware of their condition.

This leads me to believe bad (and scary) things. Either they are knowingly HIDING the truth or they are horribly unaware and uninformed.

I also cannot count the number of emails we have received reflecting disgust at us for swinging or for even having the disease. As if we were the cause of the virus in the first place, or we should just be thrown in jail! Some emails were quite hateful.

Normal STD tests do not reveal HSV. You specifically need to be tested for it if you think you may have it.

We encourage everyone to read up on Herpes at http://www.valtrex.com/aboutherpes/h...on_herpes.html

The bad thing is, HPV is even more common (and much more of a PITA) in the lifestyle than HSV. HPV is a proven factor in Cervical Cancer. It should cause everyone (especially woman who may want to have children) to think twice before having unprotected sex with anyone other than their spouse or partners with which they are sure are not infected.

Rest assured, our intention is not to scare anyone away from the Lifestyle, but to encourage you to make wise decisions that will lead to a great experience in the swinging community for you and your partner.

We have met couples that have it, and couples that do not. Safe sex is the key. Needless to say, We PREFER to meet women and couples that already have it.

Do not trust others with your health! We all know that there are slimey characters among us. We are honest up front and hope others will be too.

Thanks for reading and we Hope to hear comments on this subject!

WOW! 2 Thumbs up for you!

It takes a good deal of courage to even start swinging in the first place. And coming forth with the truth says a lot about your character. For what it's worth,I'm impressed.

Hey sweetie when is the exam anyway, missed that thread. LOL

i actually went looking for pics and symptoms etc. of herpies and found some other very scarry things out there. You hear about them but does any of us really know what we are looking for, even in our selves?

All i know is i wouldn't want to play with someone who has any of these diseases, not to be mean, but it just not a risk i want to take. Even though my child bearing is over, i don't want to bring anything home.

But i really have to thank those who have been honest enough to bring it up and get the rest of us uneducated people to really start looking at what is really out there. And educating ourselves to the threat, and how to avoid the dishonest people. So again thx
