I hadn't heard of this before. However on Paul Harvey this morning he said a university or clinic in Denver injected chimpanzes with two of the drugs that are currently being used to treat AIDS. Then they tried to give the chimps AIDS and they couldn't. He said this held hope of being a vaccine. I don't understand how,but thats what I think I heard. Does anyone have better information on this.

No published results yet, so while there's hope, there's nothing concrete to go on. As you said, it'll be a while... assuming the article isn't hype, it's good news.

I'm real curious about your other statement, though. It's the first I've ever heard of "folks with all the symptoms of AIDS in whom there is no trace..."

Can you elaborate? Other sources?

if there is ever a "cure" for aids we'll never hear about it. when one of the huge drug companies that make the "coctail" of pills for the treatment of aids gets wind of this that little drug company will be scooped up by one of them and the "cure" will be placed under lock and key. theres no money in the cure, the money is in the treatment medications. the big guys probably already have someone assigned to keep an eye on the situation as it develops.

I don't believe that to be at all likely. Not for a minute. While it's entirely true that there's plenty of money to be made in the treatment regimens now prevalent, any company taking such an action had better have absolutely air-tight security, because the repercussions of such an action becoming known would be immediate and severe.

I couldn't agree more. While the cause of AIDS has some interesting conspiracy theories floating around, I seriously doubt a cure would be squirreled away.

because i know the LADY personally who had AIDS and doesnot have it anymore and my UNCLE is currently reversing cancer at this moment.
