Do swingers use condoms for oral sex too?

Hi! Allow me to introduce ourselves. We are a married couple of 14 yrs from NJ. We had never even discussed swinging until this past September when I found out that, what I thought was just sexy bedroom talk and fantasy for my husband, was something he for real wanted to make happen! Imagine my (delight &) surprise when I realized my hubby would be (more than) ok with having a MFM situation! Ok, so shock and horror might better describe the initial feelings , but let me tell you that this has cum at just the right time for us. So many much needed transformations have occured on so many levels for us, individually and as a couple, since then. And I have to say that the posts @ this site have helped us sooo much!

We have yet to have our 1st encounter, but have started to make a few contacts on SwingLifestyle.

I have a question though, we, being concerned about STDs, decided on protection, definately, we thought. Then we bought some condoms to try out to see how we liked them and, well, frankly I found the whole thing to be less than pallitable (literally as well as asthetically). Clearly, STDs can be transmitted orally as well... do people have them on during oral sex? I cant imagine this, and if not, then what is the point at all? Currently, I am not liking my options re: the STD thing. . I was wondering how others have worked this out. Thanx for the feedback and nice to meet you all, Love & Peace, J & T.

First of all, Welcome to the board!!!!

As for your concerns, well I can only speak for us, so here goes...

Mr.CD30 despises condoms, however, he himself (for obvious reasons) insists on using them in swing situations. (I say a big "whew" to that cause if not, I would have to pull the brakes and that would stink at this point! )

You do get used to them and eventually, it just makes the times that you are with your SO even MORE enjoyable since you don't need to use a condom!

As for the STD issue, there are whole threads here devoted to this issue that you might like to check out. Knowledge is power and you may find some topics you hadn't even considered!!

For us, we know that there are certain risks involved and have come to peace with that to a degree, this does NOT mean that we are indiscriminate in any way, just that we know that it is something we run the risk of coming in contact with to a degree and although we use condoms for penetration, we have made the decision that oral runs a definite smaller risk and we are willing to have "unprotected" oral with play partners knowing that the risk is still there, but feeling a bit safer since it is minimal. This is just one of the many things that you need to discuss with your partners as to where your comfort levels lie...Just keep in mind that you do not have to compromise your position on this and don't let anyone pressure you to either...the risks will outweigh the rewards IMHO....

I think very few swingers use condoms for oral.

Deciding what your risk comfort level is is up to you. As curiousdue30 said, no one should push you to go without if you make the decision to use them. If you do decide to play using condoms for oral I think it is good to state that up front in your ad profile (presuming you will use one to find swingers).

Hello and Welcome NJ newbies; we are also fairly new here. Hello to everyone else too. This is my (Snoopy's [F]) 1st post here at SB, but Tatt (M) has posted a few already.

As for the original question here; we completely agree with each other about the use of condoms along with a few other rules we've set. The only unprotected sexual contact we have is with each other. We always use condoms with other ppl we play with.

As for oral....they make flavored condoms now just for that part of play! So, we have also agreed on that too. We haven't experienced MFM since we've been together or on the SLS site, but I was quite concerned about the issue of oral and the possible lack of protection, but Tatt had already researched the issue and also where to get them! lol Personally, I'm glad he's as cautious as I am and cares about my safety as well! Don't know how it will be, but I must agree with CuriousDuo....will definitely make for a better experience when it's just us with no raincoat!! lol

We are very cautious and agree totally on the issue of condom use during penetration and oral sex. Just my (our) opinion; hope it helps you out with your decision NJ.

Hi all - Im a newbie here too - just learing the ropes I guess you could say - so hi there As far as the condom question - here is just my .02 on it....

They are making flavored condoms now - Lifestyles makes a 3 pack with Vanilla, Strawberry and Bannanna flavored ones - although - anyone I know wasnt too keen on them! And they also have Mint ones from Trojan I belevie - was handed one at a concernt once.

For the ol style use of them, I used to be a Trojan man - until a lady showed me the way of Life Styles Ultra Sensitive - very comfy for me, the ladies never really noticed that I had one on (as in they claimed it wasnt too anoying) and the end result felt GOOD Hope this helps!

yes, thank you all so much for stopping by to say hi and for your input. Not 100% sold on the oral/condome part yet mainly because of the taste factor (I DO have my priorities, you know!) So, that was actually going to be my next question, Does anyone, know of any not horrible tasting ones? PS, this is the F part of NJ posting, in case you were wondering.

Hi F from M and F - since Im usually on the recieving end of things, Im afraid I cant tell you how they taste - Ive been told the mint is GOD aweful - the strawberry and vanilla Ive been told were tolerable - but than again - your sucking on rubber which is the bottom line - from what I gathered you have to try to keep it in place while pulling on it at the same time - I give it to ya ladies that have it down to a science though! I can honestly say I dont think its ever come to an end while wearing the condom - it always anyoyed them and they finished by hand. Im a newbie as well - so hi newbies from NJ - nice to meet you guys!
