| Posts: n/a | Hi, My wife has viewed some of the websites and we even went to two dance. We had one couple come on a bit too strong and monopolized our time. I could tell he just wanted to fuck someone in better shape than his fat wife. So we were both turned off by that experience, but not the whole idea. But a dilemma has arisen. We both have herpes. When we first dated, my wife was embarrassed to tell me she had it until she had me in the sack a few times. I later got the gift. I’ve found out it’s a common enough disease. How does one best “announce” at events or in profiles that we aren’t exactly STD free? I read several profiles on a couple of boards, and this issue seems overlooked. Thanks, Tom |

Therefore, you need to be open about it and you will realize you are not alone. Not disclosing it or simply trusting condoms to protect your partners is not appropriate and, in some States, a crime. In fact, civil suits involving transmissions of herpes (and other STD's) are starting to occur. |

This is not true. The effect, number of outbreaks, ease of transmission all vary between viruses. I have Simplex 1 and got it from someones coldsore on their mouth. I have had 3 outbreaks in 5 years and I only get one sore at the same location. If I were to have sex with another infected individual, I could just as easily catch another strain of the virus which could inturn increase the severity and frequency of my outbreaks. Point is, just because a person has herpes doesn't mean their immune from contracting more herpes viruses, so it is still important to use proper protection with any partner. |
