Going in for my Vasectamy Appointment

Thank you for all the comments. My wife has a 23 year old daughter and I have 3 sons. My wife also has had such a difficult time emotionally lately and attributes this to birth control. She also says that her weight gain is due to birth control so I'm just trying to do my part to make both of our lives more pleasant........I just hope this works. and yes, I am a wimp but will get through this.

Well Dave,

Hubby went in for his vasectamy appointment yesterday and I have to say I was surprised about how quick and simple the operation was. We were in the hosptial less than an hour including waiting time, consultation and operation.

Hubby said that he barely felt anything and was joking with the doctor the whole time. He was in very little pain when he got home and just kept using the ice pack and took it easy.

Here it is day two and he is bored to death having to stay home and feels great.

I hope this helps make things less scary for you, over all for him it was a positive experience. Just don't over think things too much an dgood luck.

If they offer you a valume before the procedure TAKE IT!!!

They told me to come in an hour early if I wanted a valume.

I did.

I had never taken one before and I was amazed, and greatful, on how relaxed it made me.

If they do not bring it up, ask about it.

I had mine done this past Tuesday. No pain, very,very little discomfort, in and out in an hour. A lot I guess depends on the person. My wifes partner said how difficult a time he had, but he is scared of any medical procedure. It was a piece of cake.
