I realize that the majority of "cum" is semen, not sperm. But....does a vasectomy change the quality of your ejaculant? If so how?

Is it less viscuous?
Does it look different?
Does it taste different?
Does it feel different?

Is there a smaller amount of ejaculant?

How about the qulaity of your orgasms- are they they same?
- better?
- not as good?

The "sperm" is a very small percentage of your ejaculate which is semen (NOT SEAMEN) and comes from your prostate. Sperm comes from your balls (i.e-testicles-thank you Ves!), which aren't part of the equation any more.

None of the above is different with me and Fem D hasn't made any comments of shock yet either!

Seriously, he didn't complain about noticing anything different and I haven't noticed anything different. It has been more than 4 years since now, and he is doing well!

I don't care what it tastes like, I'm not eatin' the stuff. But does getting snipped hurt? I'm fortunate in being at that age where most of the women I date can't have/don't want babies anyway. But a 50-something friend just had an unfortunate "accident" with a devoutly Catholic 21 year old. That little "mishap" is gonna cost one of his kids a college education, not to mention the damage it's done to his marriage.

Will they still do ya if they smell tequila on your breath? I get pretty bold when I'm drinkin' tequila...

It didn't hurt particularly and in the 19 years since I had my snip I haven't noticed any difference at all compared with before. Neither has Red.

It didn't hurt or feel any better, just different. But after the first time it was just like it use to be.

I must add that gettting the "Big V" as I call it was the best thing I have done.

No worries is a wonderful thing.

I guess you didn't notice the little "prick" given you in the beginning of the procedure!

My doc told me to not do anything for a week! Orgasm- or even erection-wise. Said one of his patients couldn't wait and came in with balls the size of softballs and that the swelling didn't go down for a month!

Well that's not for me. I wanted to see me get an erection while having "blue-balls". The sutures were still oozing. Then after I got the erection without too much trouble, I went for the orgasm. I came! I was ecstatic! Things were working normally.

Yes, I definately felt that!!!

Actualy there was two of them, one for each side.

It did hurt like hell but it only burned for about 10 seconds for each side. All in all, not too bad.

Thanks folks. The missus had her tubes tied 12 years ago. We've been swinging for about two years. A vasectomy seemed like it might be a prudent thing to do. I don't want to jeopordize any of my kids college tuition But I also like the quality of my ejaculant- it has a nice visual effect. Anyway, thanks. Think I might have to go in for the snip.

I had my vasectomy when I was in my early 20s--so long ago that I can't remember what it used to feel like when I had seed to sow. But I remember feeling relieved after my first post-V experiences, as the sensations connected with ejaculation and the quality of my orgasms were no different. As for the taste, I'm happy to say that I don't know.

The actual operation, on the other hand, was not nearly as pain-free as others on this board have reported. From what I've heard from others, their experiences (you'll be happy to know) seem to be more typical than mine. I think my surgeon was a little rough in administering the anesthesia, and might have started in on me a little before it thoroughly took. Not a pleasant memory. If I had it to do all over again, I'd still most certainly do it, but I'd also betake myself to a doctor recommended by a friend who'd already been snipped. You'd don't want just anyone approaching that particular part of your body with a sharp object in hand.
